Not only did they use Spanish Heinkel 111s, but in this clip I see they use Spanish ME-109s as well. Those were also powered by Merlins, which is why they look different from German 109s in the nose! I can't fault the filmmakers for this though, when they've done a pretty good job with historic accuracy overall.

I was wondering about the maximum range of the German me-109 and flock 190. For the german officer told his men that they will only have only 30 minutes over there in England when they were done escorting the bombers. Not much time to be engaging enemy RAF fighters.

What is a nazi? A nazi for the ignorant few here, is a member of the NSDAP (nazi was a abbreviation for this National Socialistiche Deutsche Arbeiter Partie) - payed monthly dues and was issued a membership number. It was no REQUIREMENT to belong in the NSDAP to serve in the German miliary. These pilots were soldiers, pure and pure. And to piss some of you off, after the war they came to the US to take fighter training at Luke AFB for the modern German airforce - and served in such - HA!!

In '39 we went to war against a nation whose military power exceeded our own, when we stood to gain nothing economically, on moral grounds. The US today only invades when it suits them (hence why Mugabe is still alive), and a war in the middle east is not at all like a war against an industrial, militarised Germany.

I Like this movie. A sign of a good movie is, if the people speak the language of the country they belong to, instead of speaking english. It gives the movie the possibility to get further into Detail. More atmosphere.
And the movie seems to be quite balanced. you see the Brits and the Germans. It presentes a better feeling of two sides fighting against each other

Not only did they use Spanish Heinkel 111s, but in this clip I see they use Spanish ME-109s as well. Those were also powered by Merlins, which is why they look different from German 109s in the nose! I can't fault the filmmakers for this though, when they've done a pretty good job with historic accuracy overall.

If the US had abandoned Britain in 1939 like the Ami public wanted them to, the UK would have been in serious trouble with the U-boats sinking millions of tons of British shipping every year. It has nothing to do with who is "great." No allied nation could have won the war against Germany on their own. Not you, not the US, and not the Soviet Union.

But it was the Royal Navy that was protecting the US convoys around the world and the UK would have found away to beat the U-boats eventually like they did during the war just with American help.

We would have won the war if the French didn't get involved and the French only won because Britain didn't commit a large enough force to the war because they didn't expect America to get help. We pretty much won 1812 but is considered a draw.
And the Aussies and Canada and Kiwi's where part of the Empire that's why they where fighting with us. They didn't save our ass during the battle of Britain.

I was wondering about the maximum range of the German me-109 and flock 190. For the german officer told his men that they will only have only 30 minutes over there in England when they were done escorting the bombers. Not much time to be engaging enemy RAF fighters.

The german officer in the film said that they have at the most 30 minutes of england flying time but all the interviews with Luftwaffe pilots that I have seen say it was at the most 18 because of having to hang around waiting for the bombers to turn up!
Not a complaint about the film just a general point of interest!
