Farmfest Debate, 08/05/08

I thought Dean Barkley did well. Seems like the most genuine candidate of the lot. Frankin did well with his zingers against Coleman, but lacked substance in his answers. Coleman is the suckers' candidate. Steve Williams also had some good things to say.

I don't like this type of forum for a debate. Candidates can't engage each other because they are in their individual silos. The public loses..candidates aren't even challenged by those asking questions...a real waste of time.

I agree. It's not a debate at all. They should call it a public forum. We should learn from our European neighbors and let our candidates and later when elected, truly debate.

farm fest ?

Ive got no substantive understanding of the issues facing farmers but Ill happily give this a shot just to see how these two handle themselves and I'll take the incidental education on farm issues as an added bonus. I really should be more informed on the farm issues, so TRULY a big thanks for posting this.
