  • The song Màiri Bhàn (Fair Màiri), which is the original Gaelic song that Mairi's Wedding is based on, was written by the Islayman Roger Bannerman for his friend, Màiri, in the 1930s.

  • I heard this being called the lewis wedding march, unless I heard wrong. Its nicely sung couldn't understand a word.
