The clue is this: Listen to how many of Zaeed's stories end up with either most or all of his squad killed. That's a greater percentage of his stories than you might think.
That should tell you that despite how many players understandably pick Zaeed, he's actually a TERRIBLE "fire team leader" during the suicide mission. Even in his loyalty mission, he makes it clear he mostly watches his own back.

@Renay90 If you don't have the necessary DLCs, you wont be seeing them. They'll be mentioned in the background on civilian planets, but you never see them.

As for Zaeed, he's alright. I usually have him in the beginning before I can get anyone better, but I prefer Miranda and Garrus or Grunt for the rest of the game. Zaeed's abilities aren't very good, but a sniper rifle makes him worth it for most classes pre-Garrus (Who has better abilities, IMO)
@wharghoul Zaeed's more situational if you're a soldier but if you're not, he's the only team-member with disruptor ammo. AND he has that handy grenade. If you've specced him into extra damage, he puts out more pure weapon-based hurt than ANYONE.
If you just need heavy firepower vs synthetics or just plain firepower and medium/long range without worrying about barriers, Zaeed's solid.
@TriniKnight01 or if u r playing insanity. disruptor ammo takes out shields, the basic protection of enemies in insanity mode, and with incisor rifle and his 50% more dmg buff, he is a force of nature.

@everybodywalkthedino I remember him remembering a story way back when he was a Blue Suns Boss killing some Turian outfit, nothing really appealing to the case but it served as a good reminder of how a Turian Face can be ripped apart with a simple Bonding knife.... DAMN GOOD RIFLE!

@Renay90 If you don't have the necessary DLCs, you wont be seeing them. They'll be mentioned in the background on civilian planets, but you never see them.

As for Zaeed, he's alright. I usually have him in the beginning before I can get anyone better, but I prefer Miranda and Garrus or Grunt for the rest of the game. Zaeed's abilities aren't very good, but a sniper rifle makes him worth it for most classes pre-Garrus (Who has better abilities, IMO)

@wharghoul Zaeed's more situational if you're a soldier but if you're not, he's the only team-member with disruptor ammo. AND he has that handy grenade. If you've specced him into extra damage, he puts out more pure weapon-based hurt than ANYONE.
If you just need heavy firepower vs synthetics or just plain firepower and medium/long range without worrying about barriers, Zaeed's solid.

@TriniKnight01 or if u r playing insanity. disruptor ammo takes out shields, the basic protection of enemies in insanity mode, and with incisor rifle and his 50% more dmg buff, he is a force of nature.
