I lost my father 2 and a half years ago, but I can always watch this movie and smile thinking of my dad. When I was a kid him and I watched this movie at least a hundred times together and loved it everytime. Miss you Dad.
I always thought it was weird that at 4:47 - 4:52 you clearly see a grand slam being achieved around the bases, but when they go back to the scoreboard at 6:12, it's nowhere to be seen on any inning. Is that an editing mistake or intentional as part of the comedic scene?
lmao the first 3 strikes haha he doesnt even wait for him to catch the ball and calls it a strike gonna miss this funny guy always will go down in my history books as one of the most funnest guys
it's funny that he started as a drama actor/serious roles... a little before my time, but i've seen some of his serious roles... he was good on creepshow too- "i can hold my breath a LOOOONG time!!!" lol....
Thank you for posting this. And cheers to one of the great comedic actors I've ever seen - when I'm really down I just watch a few minutes of his great work and I can face the day again. RIP, Mr. Nielsen : (
@rivera5b - by saying that, you're saying it makes a worse show better than it is, which is basically saying that the Battle Royale in the movie sucks.
used for BEAN: THE ULTIMATE DISASTER MOVIE, ALSO...
but that is not here nor there...i am here to help honour the life and the memory alive of one of my favourite Canadian actors...who ever once lived to grace his being...EVERYWHERE! :)
*oh wait, i know of Randy Newman from the Stories Of Toys, too long before this! lol ;)
I think Dick Enberg should have at least said 'Oh My!' during this scene that is his signature catch phrase like I always say 'If you got something you might as well use it while you got it' am I right?
I wondered if Merlin Olsen saw this movie at the time it came out with his protege Dick Enberg in it and thinking to himself 'My buddy is working with a guy who only says 'How 'bout that?' all the time?! for shame'
"All right I've had enough, you're outta here!!"

Calling the third strike before it gets to home plate...priceless. 4 guys crossing second base after a home run...even better.
