@PQ5 as a mage is very tough to play because the mana requirements for the runes are so sky high....and you dont get any decent weapons at all (i mean ore ones)

To some extent. Don't believe that NOTR is a expansion, it is the exact same thing as Gothic 2 except beefed up with new world, more enemies, new enemies, new addons, more secret, tougher enemies, and mostly more quests and gray matter options.
