I think some kids today don't realize that other than the Mike Schmidt era and 2007-present, the Phillies were one of the worst teams in MLB history. The Phillies could win 1000 straight games, and the franchise would still be under .500 throughout its history.

But I have no hatred of the Phillies. In fact, as a kid I saw that they had guys like Steve Carlton and Mike Schmidt so back then I always pegged the Phils as a good team.
