wer can i buy theses pots with the built in lids ive askd and tried everywer fed up with plagron not that it hasnt servd me well jus want the advantages of hydro please help...weed man in need
Just to clear it up......MH for veg. state and HPS for the flowering. This combo WILL produce the most happiest looking buds. I have ran 37 cycles of AK47/Northern lights and MH/HPS works.....period. And a 150 watt HPS is an easy upgrade compared to the 95-150 watt CFL's...plus the heat generated is only another 4.4 degrees more then the cfl's. Anything larger then 150HPS will require more airflow. but its worth it.
@AblueSHADEofMETAL Nope the best by far is sunshine, and mine are fed nothing but the water from my koi pond.
I've been playing with hydroponic/ acuaponic/ aeroponic indoor, outdoor and greenhouse for more than 20 years. The best by far is a constant flow acuaponcs set-up.
The fish can be any fresh water species, from a tropical tank indoors to a pond full of koi or edible fish outdoors.
@Mostlyfun if i had an outdoor garden then i would agree with you, but for indoor set-up's in low light area's of the world.....(The NW Terrotories, etc) MH and HPS are the most efficient at simulating light. I use 2 1000w Hps and i can gaurentee(lol) that my yields are within 650-750g/m2 after 8 weeks of flowering. And by the way.....if I had a koi pond outside it would freeze over.
Thanks for adding your section on outdoor growing. Keep it up
@AblueSHADEofMETAL I have also done it indoors before and I used a 300 gallon Cichlid aquarium that had a 200 gallon wet dry filter, my friend is now running that
set-up at his place.
He has 1 chamber running on a 1000 watt hps and another with 12 led grow lights.
The led chamber is doing almost as good and in some ways better than the hps but it’s only using 10.2 watts for all 12 bulbs and creats no heat.
The leds came from a place called flexiblePVCpipe D?T COM they cost $179 for 12.
@blazeveryday6996 healthy plants come from high lumens in the right spectrum. I put 100 watt induction lights on I had some three week plants that were not doing well. bent over and drooping. I thought they might not be getting enough light ( 2 105 watt CFL) but I wasn't positive that was it. After just one day under the induction lights they bounced back! alot more light is hitting the lower leaves. Theres a you tube video on indagro which shows these lights. get more light and grow big!
how far do i sit my netting pot in to the water? should it be above the water with bubbles splashing on it,or in the water,it is about three inch intotal(the chilli plant)still a baby,i havent got it in rock wool cube just sat in the clay pebbles...i have 4 plants to the left growing in soil and they are double in size??? what am i doing wrong? thanks
I have a question about the environment in which you are growing these pots. What is the room temperature? And is this in a sun room? It looks like there is a lot of natural light.
What nutrients do you put in the water? how large of a plant can these systems support? After I create, and plant the seeds in the Rock wool, What more is needed from me? Are there any modifications to the system I need to make later on? I have tons of questions. haha
You can buy nutes at any hydro store or get them online. Canna and BioBizz are quite good.
The size of the plant is down to the size of the buckets you're using. You can grow banana trees in garbage bins if you wanted, I've seen it done.
You only have to change the solution every week or two and pH/EC test the solution. It's pretty handy if you have a little tap on the side to drain the water. Saves you from lifting the plant out of the bucket.
@dddproject I was going to start my flood and drain this week. Think I'll modify and start this Aeroponic system. Looks to simple and uses less water? I think. Just have to add some lids with one 4 inch hole on my 3 gallon buckets build a few spayer doo dads and away we go. Will ,et you know what happens, heck I may film it and post.
