I don't know. The Master Sword wasn't in the 2 NES games (that was the Magical Sword) which take place after this game since this one features of precursor of the Link of the NES games. So this may be the most recent game in the "timeline" (officially there isn't one, at least not rigidly followed) in which the Master Sword appears since I never played the newer ones on the Gamecube, GBA, Wii, or DS.
@wtcvidman Lol no offense but u sound like a vg geek but i am too so yea... but where do u get the magic cape? (i have the gba version so idk if i will get the same results)
I don't know if I'd call myself a vg geek since on average I probably play a lot less games than most people. But I am a big fan of classic games.
The cape is in the Cemetery. You need the Hammer from the first Dark World dungeon to get it. Once you have the Hammer, go to Kakariko Village, enter the Lost Woods from the westernmost entrance, go slightly east & come back down. Use the Hammer on the stake & lift the rock to reveal the transporter.
You will then go to the Dark World. Go to the Village of Outcasts and make your way to Dark World equivalent of the Cemetery. Enter the fenced in area in the northeast & use the Mirror to go to the Light World in the fenced in grave. Dash into the grave with the Pegasus Boots to open it. Check out Part 30 of my walkthrough if you have any questions.
You can either buy it for 500 rupees from that shop between the Village of Outcasts & the Pyramid or you can buy a blue shield (much cheaper) and take it to the Waterfall of Wishing & throw it in.
Well, either you haven't freed the bird trapped in the Weathercock in Kakariko Village (you free it by playing the Flute in front of it) or you're trying to use the Flute in the Dark World, where the bird doesn't show up (except for once at the end before the Ganon battle when it automatically happens).
That's the Magic Cape. It allows you to become invisible & go over spiked floors without getting hurt & allows you to pass through those springy obstacles without bouncing off them. You need it to get the Cane of Byrna without getting hurt. If I remember correctly you need it (and the Hookshot) to get the Heart Piece on that ledge north of the Village of Outcasts in the Dark World.
mby 9 or so years ago i played Zelda a link to the past on Nintendo Super... and i was pretty happy then ^^
and now i saw there is a computer game Zelda a link to the past.... i installed it yesterday and now im on the last boss in the 2nd world... btw great videos...
Yes, this is the Super Nintendo version. Thank you for the compliment. Is the computer game you installed the same game as this one? Or is it a different game with the same title?
@wtcvidman no no its ALL THE SAME, exept your max bombs are 10, and Arrows 30
gold 999, if u want i can send u the download link .. i finished the game yesterday... kinda sad day cuz i have been playing that game many yrs ago and didnt finish ^^
LOL. I don't know if you check out the Nostalgia Critic's site, but he has a hilarious set of videogame character confession videos. One of them is about Link. Check it out if you get the chance.
The Gossip Shop is the Dark World version of the Smithy's shop. It's where you find that treasure chest that is locked from the inside. You have to bring it to the former thief in the Light World who is by the border of the Desert of Mystery.
I thought Blind was pretty easy with the Cane of Byrna. I think Blind is supposed to be a guy, even though his appearance is that of a girl until you reveal his true form. The characters in the game refer to him as a "he".
so wait, did the master sword untemper its self over the years?

What do I do if I don`t have that hook? And most I go back to the 2nd dungeon just to get it., when i am in the 4th dungeon?
Ingi99 1 year ago
@Ingi99
So I think you skipped the boss of dungeon #2 since you need the Hookshot to beat him. Anyway, you should go back & get it.
wtcvidman 1 year ago
@wtcvidman I didn`t skip the boss of dungeon 2.

How'd you beat Arrghus (the boss of that dungeon) without the Hookshot? Is there another way you can pull all those Arrgi away from him?

Where do I get that hook?

You need to bomb a hole in the room above it. If you watch the previous part (Part 42) you'll see what you need to do.
