On 4 out of 5 flights I did on Austrian airlines I was refused water and food once the cabin crew found I was American .

All other passengers where served and when I ask for service I was told your American we don't serve you !

The cabin crews attitude to me was disgusting even to other passengers .

Anyway, I'm going to Russia as a foreign exchange student! I'm half Russian, and my daddy is an immigrant from Russia. They are just lazy, getting paid for nothing. @scales1234 Unfortunately, all airlines have negative sides. Want to say that I flew with BA and was extremely dissapointed. I'm talking only on Mid-haul or short-haul routes. Aeroflot offers very good service on European flights. At least they feed you with HOT food even on 1-hour flights while Air france or BA give you a small sandwich. By the way, about a year ago Aeroflot won the award of the Europe's short haul best economy class. Sheremetyevo Airport is a complete nightmare, though... :-)

They rushed us through luggage process and told us we couldn't take simple things like fashion jewelry. After we handed them $100 they put our stuff back and let us fly.

Partygal...watch the whole story again. he let his son sit in the pilots seat, agreed not a good idea, but his SON disconnected the AP, and becuase of this incident, Airbus realized a serious AP flaw with the A310, and it was corrected by ALL operators of the aircraft type.

Why do Russian airlines fly so many western planes? The Russian technology is just as good---I don't get it. Antonov, Illyshun, Beriev, Tupolev---these names are legendary. I have nothing against Boeing or Airbus---but it'd be nice to see some different looking planes around!
