I don't really know good anima from bad. I have never studied the lighting and machanics of it. I do know that I personally am a crap artist and I stand unafraid to admit it. Since jaseth obviously is more intelligent then all of us, I suppose he has merrit. BUT. Since this is America, jaseth be damned.

Since I have a very good freind who can clean a crane machine with a hand full of quarters, I added that to a playlist. I liked it jaseth, reguardless of you.

I am not being a hypocrite. This is the way a modern civilisation works. People specialise in different areas to ensure the best efficiency and output. When your milk is sour in the supermarket, people don't tell you to go make it yourself. When someone does a single backflip at a huge talentshow and thinks he's the shit, the crowd doesn't cheer because most of them haven't spent the two hours it takes to learn to do it. When this guy makes crap animation, he shouldn't expect special treatment.

You wouldn't be able to sing like Britney Spears either, but you probably think she is crap anyway.

Compared to basically every other animation I have seen this was boring and annoying to watch. The animation was plain and without life and the character had no personality. The plot was thin and the ending obvious.

but to me it looks like its "sigh + pissed" because he was sighing and his right eye was showing an angry/impatient emotion. But these 2 doesn't blend well you see. Try sighing and also be pissed at the same time, look at the difference with the animation. Especially the eyebrows expression

By the way, showing the eye action (watever u call it) it means he is already upset.

Plus, this animation was going for exaggerated style already looking from the way he walk

Arenal, Animation is suppose to be the illusion of life. Its suppose to feel real so you connect with the character. No I've seen better stuff done, I could tell this project did not have another planning put into it. And as doing it myself? Duh dingbat, I am an animator I create animation. Actually the uncanny valley explaines how when something that is not supposed to be lifelike looks more like humans we get creeped out. Anyway, you're talking like there is only one way to create animation. You have your way and he has his, maybe he will only use it for this one an make a close to real life animation next time. As i already pointed out this is also a school project. So if you want to help him out don't say "your character acting sucks" Sometimes being nice helps

Well, look at a little game called Team Fortress 2, it has cartoon style animation, sells like hot bread anyway. It's all about variation.
