they have minerals. they have cobolt, diamonds, other stuff. I just read that they have minerals essential to making high tech devices like cell phones and whatnot, and that large cell phone companies like nokia, LG, moterola sponser proxy wars for control over these mines. of course, that's just what i read. but it seams like a logical reason for why the congo has no press, and why these wars have never died.
