She's so biased. She did not represent Hong Kong people, she can only represent herself. She chose to stay in Hong Kong but there was an exodus. That was a fact. That's why most of the middle class in Hong Kong who could afford to emigrate sought immigration everywhere and left overtly or covertly. Of course the pre 1997 exodus was unlike the Vietnam refugees who fled Vietnam because of war. For better or for worse I was one of many many who left Hong Kong prior to 1997.
