that was very moving. what have i been missing out on?? i've only read the book eighty million times, now to buy the miniseries!!!! it was filmed before i was born :3 but i caught a glimpse of it on hallmark or something a year or so ago and i've wanted to own it ever since.

@nengrida Don´t know. I just bought the series at amazon, not expensive, like 25 dollars or something for the complete series. But I wouldn´t advise you to buy (if you are going to) The Missing Years, the sequel, also called the ´midquel´ filmed in 1996. So you just should buy the 1st until 4th serie. The orignal series were filmed in 1983. The sequel (midquel) misses the spark, although it has some good acting.

This was my favorite next to Roots. I'll tell you one thing, Australia must have swelled with Pride for their Artists at that time Olivia Newton-John (although) she's British Born, Rick Springfield, Kylie Minogue, Little River Band, Bee Gees, as well as Air Supply & Men & Work.
