    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not just "reliving the past" but more importantly "preserving the past". Radio is unique in that, unlike other media forms, there is no easy access to old music radio shows. Old movies and TV shows continue to be shown on network or cable TV, and can be rented/purchased on tapes or DVD. Print media like old books,

  • Just stopped in again. Mike, I have a request. I see many songs on ASRA surveys from thousands of these top 40 charts ging back to 50's tto current. Would you mind going through them all and post the top thousand on YouTube?

  • Played on the same bill as The 5 Illusions at The Bay Lounge,Mickey's on Queens Blvd.Yesterday's in Jackson heights,Mickey's in Long Beach etc.Great time for music in the sixties for regional bands.

  • The drummer of The Illusion was quite good but you can't tell from this recording. He was at the same level as Dino Dinelli of The Rascals. The Illusion were more of a live band.I played on the same bill with The Illusion many nights in the mid to late sixties.A great time of my life.

  • I Love what you did here The video is really interesting Thank you for posting this Thumbs up my friend

  • I saw these guys in 1971 at a William Tennent high school rock concert. They took this song and kept it going 15 minutes or more. The Illusion and some local bands made it one of the most awesome rock concerts ever. I still have the 45 of this song.

  • dang!! didn't know there WAS a long version to this!! SWEEEEET!! thank u!!

  • Got this LP back in the 60's. Love this tune...blast it on my car CD all the time. Young punks think it's new music.

  • wow, thank you very much from the b boys of the world !

  • Had a hard time finding this one on LP many moons ago.Cool tune. Those who like this should search Hot Smoke and sassafras by The Bubble Puppy, another rockin tune from that ere that should have had more play. Dan Dell

  • I still can't find "Angel" yet, another great song from this group.

  • a killer tune...they deserved more attention, but this is definitely their toughest song...pretty neat...pretty good...

  • WOW!!! What a great song!! Thanks for posting this! I like that you incorporated pics of the group along with really good psychedelic video. Brings back good memories. My dad picked up the LP at k-mart for $.25 (discount bin)around 1972, I was 10 then, but this song along with run run run quickly became one of my all time favorites. 5 stars to you!!

  • Was ready to leave US Army at this time, my friend Nick from Brooklyn turned me on to this great song. Hey Nick, can you remember the Trolly in Seattle ? LOL, Good times !

  • We were a garage band in Queens and used to ROCK OUT on this song! We'd start it off with the infamous COW BELL baby! Of course we took it off into our drug and alcohol induced musical state! Great song! MORE COW BELL!

Can anyone post the Illusion's song

"Let's Make Each Other Happy". I saw them perform it on a show which I believe was called Upbeat that ran Sunday mornings on ABC. Now that footage would be really cool.

40 years ago! They would play the Bay Lounge in Rockaway beach, packed, jamed, it was an event ! Thank you....... Christ 40 years!

  • @MusicMike2 I just read your post. I'm a big Illusion fan also, it is very hard to find anything on CD. Especially their newer album, I think from 1972. It was "If it's so", I have an LP somewhere. And by far it is my ultimate favorite. And I also can not find a single song from that album. Write me back. Ronnie
