That shirt is hacking my retinas! LOL! Just kidding! Thanks for posting. McKinnon employed one of the most basic low level exploits imaginable to get himself into some really incredible hot water. It wasn't a sophisticated attack that indicated that he was a "computer genius" but rather a bungle highlighting the incredible sorry state of Pentagon security. Either that or he was caught in a "honey-pot" type trap, I can't decide which seems more likely to me.

@EartherZero We all wonder about the honey trap scenario but in terms of what a hacker does they tend to decide where they visit and just what they are looking at. One would imagine that no institution is going to set up thousands of machines with false info as a honey trap. Maybe two or three.

@truthseekers666 You make an excellent point. However, a major problem with the Mckinnon case is that we have to take his word for practically all of it. Was he really were he said he was in the system? Did he actually see any of these provocative things he says he saw? I'm not so sure, but perhaps he did. You would think, after discovering such things, a secret of earth shattering importance, that he would become incredibly concerned about being caught and severely punished. Instead, he plays.

@EartherZero I dont know either...However, this is politics now. If it wasnt then i would assume information he gleamed would have been leaked some how...I dont think there was any real information gathered (ie. honey pot)..I dont know.

Like i said this has become strictly political...no one even thinks about the information anymore...was/is he?

Matthew, you have a lot of courage supporting these "terroists" lol (The goverment labels geeky hackers as "terroists"). These hackers represent the general public. disclosure of information OR freedom of information! Control or rebellion, YOU HAVE A CHOICE, go down dying like a hero or be a puppet or possibly a human android!
