you can't put a genre on opeth, they are so many different genre's: folk, death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, doom metal and even some classical influences can be seen in thier compositional style

I agree and also disagree. Some of Opeth's older music could be considered Black Metal. However, Opeth themselves don't want to be characterized in any one genre, as they have all said in interviews. Akerfeldt did however make it clear that they have one foot grounded steadily in Metal, but none of their music is always one genre. I think this is what makes Opeth one of the best bands that are around today. They aren't afraid to mix genres, and they haven't let me down so far.
