  • Duuude, who is releasing Son of Berserk now? I need this shit on vinyl...people think I am crazy when I talk about "Five, Ten, Fifteen, Twenty!"...

  • You couldn't play this back in the day, people would look at you like you were retarded. Shame because this group was way ahead of its time and better than most of the shit out now.

  • Thanks for all the love! Check "Well Thawed Out" New project coming soon!

  • Thumbs up your bum holes!

  • Thumbs up if you know Mac Miller is shit.

  • So far ahead of it's time,it's sick!!

  • @Mercyilla Thanks again for the love! What do you consider hip hop?

  • This Guy is a Thief ! So Wack this is not HipHop its Bullshit they cant spit and the beat is wack this nigga thinks he is James Brown !

  • @mercyilla Who did he steal anything from? James Brown? If that's the case, you need to start hating on Prince, Michael Jackson, and about 1000 other artists who owe their existence to Mr. Brown. That included ALL OF HIP HOP! As far as the beat being wack, I can respect your opinion. I would respectfully disagree.

  • This video has a very subtle message outlining the diversity of "black" music....reggae, r & b and yes, even hard rock...black folks can and have represented in all of those genres. Plus, it's some original ish which is always appreciated.

  • thank you nardwuar

  • Thumbs up if this is better than that Mac Miller bullshit

"well thawed out" our new project is reminiscent of our debut 20 years ago but also revolutionary as we continue to push the envelope on REAL hip hop! Again thanks for the love and support and your honesty keep it coming Love 1/2/pint- Son of Bazerk/ No Self Control

  • These dudes should get together and release some new stuff, they'd hit it off again!

  • Everyone nowadays is doing the same shit. Back then, no one was trying to sound the same.

  • @Rooster450xl word up!

  • This is WTF is missing from hip-hop, and why I rarely listen now; this sh!t was INNOVATIVE, and MFs can't even see that type of sh!t now...

  • bazerk was and is New York finest, funky, rock all styles, held strong while busters made moves with money and those that dont know, tried to keep and sabotage hip hop, bazerk summarizes

    Jahguide and Protect

  • Flava Flav was on Howard Stern and mentioned Son Of Bazerk. I thought I remember is had that song Change...Sure enough, here it is. I remember Ed and Dre would play this on on Yo Mtv Raps!

  • This was massive back in the day, can't believe some of the band on this thread, u guys prob never even knew you reached deepest darkest UK suburban white kids, bought this when i was 15 from Warp records Sheffield on US import, rocked then, rocks now! Peace from Doncaster (google it)!!!

  • When I first heard this track in the early 90's, it got me teary eyed. Still does to this day!

  • nice track.

where is the sample at 1.31 from?

  • The soul/motown slowdown without a beat? I don't think that's a sample.

  • "...mess with me & I'll smoke ya

take the microphone cord, straight up choke ya! (yo kick that crab to da curb...)"

Hot damn! This was the jawn & the album was all that on some other. Big respect to S-O-B and the No Self Control Band.

    Change the Style!

1/2pint of Son of Bazerk featuring No Self COntrol and the BAND!

  • this song is so ill

  • Damn, thank you. I always appreciated this raw, L.I. group.

  • Son of bazerk was the bomb. Totally different than what was out at the time,so so different from the foolishness put out now. A lot thought it was whack and who am i to judge what anyone else thinks (thouught) but the whole joint was so outside the box that it may have caught many off guard. It was the bomb then and its still the bomb!!!

  • Bazerk was ahead of his time.

Would love to hear this kind of imaginative stuff again. The music world needs an enema - dig.

  • IF U Want 2 Hate GO Ahead This Better Than Half The Music Out 2Day.

  • way beyond its time - nobody on my block knew waht hit um when this came out

  • This dude was way before his time. DMX copied this style. His videos were some of the most original and entertaining. I wish he just did more. When he was out youeither love his stuff or hated it. Back then people were either gangster or afrocentic. Then dude chose to walk a different path and be unique.

  • @aush1969

There is a techno trip to his game.

  • FAVORITE for sure!!!!

  • this is the real shyt..in yo face hip hop

  • real hiphop ish!

  • what could be better b? used to rock this album back in the day!

  • This video is sooooooooooooooooooo awesome!

  • If you didn't 1st hear it when it came out it probably sounds wack to listen 2 it today. 4 me it's the overall vid concept & the beat that I like.

  • Please post "The Band Gets Swivey on the Wheels" if you've got it. It came out a few months after "Change the Style". Saw it on "Yo! MTV Raps" back in the day, but never since then.

  • yeah word... that was the joint right there!

  • I like this crazy shit. Reminds me of Busta's Gimme Some More......

  • Pick up the album "Bazerk Bazerk Bazerk" from 1991. Almost every cut is great. It's like a lost gem if you're a fan of Bomb Squad production style and haven't heard it before... Get it used for cheap, you'll be happy.
