I don't allow my senses to lie to myself, and hearing, and thus listening is no different. As a hip hop and music historian (with few dollars, and a NEED to find answers), I can say this without flinching. Immortal Technique is the coldest MC I have ever heard or seen. Metaphysics, Erased African Kingdoms, dark matter, the REAL what happened on 9-11... Nobody HAS EVER even come close to this cat, his knowledge of science, history, culture, and his SKILLZ are unparallelled. The GOAT.

My guess would be the majority (like 80%) of his fans who can listen and actually comprehend his message are 25-35 years old, and a mix of all races throughout the world. My mom likes him though, and she's 56! 25-35 would be my target audience guess. He's part of a genre I call Rap For Grown Folks. High school kids won't jam it if they don't hear about diamond grills, rims, gang shootings, and the same shit on every song on every album from every artist. I can't wait for Volume 3 baby! Peace

I agree. Im 16 and in high school myself and i see the same shit. Kids be listening to gay ass commercial radio shit. Half that shit aint even real. Most of the artist dont even respect the art they are just in it for the cash. Have u ever heard of Mumia abu-Jamal? If u havent u should go check some of his videos. That man right there is deep and has very good points and meanings that make me look at shit in a whole different perspective sometimes.

As a matter of fact I have heard of Mumia Abu Jamal. I own all Tech's albums, and Mumia actually is the 1st track on Revolutionary Volume 2! Alltogether, Mumia's on at least 6 tracks that have ties to Tech. It's good to know some of our high school youth are actually out there paying attention to the world in front of them. I'm a history professor at The Univ of Texas, but will be taking my skills to high school in 2010. Keep that mind open! It's the only key capable of unlocking any door.
