  • diet, this stuff just made me fly and left me speechless. i drank about a bottle and a half and i have been like super man ever since. convinced my low energy friend to try some too yesterday. if it works on him, i'll be convinced that this stuff is god. i always feel weak and tired but this stuff became my coffee and crashless-stimulant. words just cant desribe. think i'm going to crack open another bottle tomorrow and see what happens. wow.wow.wow. this stuff could be the answer to everyhing..

  • glad to hear someone out there who feels the same way, i tried it like a month or so ago, dont really remember what happened. Wondered off into whole foods with my girlfriend a few days ago, remember digging the chia seeds synergy kombucha (i like sour tasting things..haha) and decided to buy a couple bottles, one with and one without chia seeds...let me start by stating i have had all kinds of weight/energy/concentration issues for a while (a little underweight, 5'10'' 140lbs) and have a poor

  • My mother's side of my family has been brewing it for generations, my grandfather, his grandfather...etc. They are all ridiculousness healthy. brew it currently as well. The only down fall I could see, is if you were EXTREMELY malnourished, like on the brink of mineral depletion, and you drank as much as you did with no water. I have a lot of food allergies that it helps. Ever try going gluten free while living around wheat processing centers? If I don't eat it I breathe it.

  • I'm going to start making kombucha tea today. My sister first told me about it. She has increased energy and alertness. Also has gotten tons of compliments on her skin and hair. Can't wait to start. Also, you have a GREAT sounding voice.

  • Home-made Kombucha is the best! If you ever want to make it yourself let me know. I may have some extra Scoby babies :-)

  • If it feels good, do it. I try to drink 2 bottles a day and have been doing so for years with zero negative side effects. Kombucha gives me more energy than energy drinks with no down side. Drink healthy, laugh often, live long.

  • I'm addicted

  • It may have a low pH on it's own but foods are called acidic or alkaline based on how they affect the body during/after digestion. An alkaline food/drink accepts hydrogen ions from the body while an acidic food donates them. Ideally, you want about 80% of your diet to be alkaline (or 4:1 alkaline:acidic.) You may find it surprising that lemons are an alkalizing food. Check out an acidic/alkaline food chart to see how different foods are classified. A basic litmus isn't as useful.

  • I have heard it recommended not to exceed 1 cup to 2 cups a day due to the acidity of Kombucha-- can mess with your natural pH levels if you drink in excess. So 20 oz. may be a touch much =) but go you for drinking it regularly it's a great habit.

  • @ricogv kombucha is pH 2.5 , it is mainly vinegar and is Very acidic. It is nowhere near "alkaline" stop making stuff up!

  • Here's a great link on some testimonials of kombuchaamerica dot c o m :) hope this helps!

  • You won't die! just don't drink too much, because it's detoxifying, and anything that detoxifys can put a strain on the liver if you do it too fast. And make sure you're drinking enough water with it too. I have a two friends that make it and love it because it gives them so much energy. I'm about to start making it myself. Are you still drinking it? Hope so! :)

  • Yea you are right, I call it the happiness beverage. Kombucha is actually an alkaline beverage witch is good for you in the long run, helps to fight diseases as most of then are due to the fact that the body turns too acidic eating the carbohydrate packed foods nowadays. I felt and my relatives too, my brother in law stooped drinking alcohol to drink kombucha. In large amounts helps to lose wait. It is the beverage I love the most, one day I will open a Kombucha business, better than soda.

  • @ricogv Too bad the government is trying to make it considered an alcoholic beverage, only because some have tested slightly over 0.5abv. Otherwise I would already be selling my personal to the heath shop down the street.

  • I think we can drink only 12 oz of kombucha...
