@blackmaster636 BC rich Warlock Vortex Signature 5-String Electric Bass Guitar with Basswood Body - Shadow Black Finish with Vortex Graphic
*** that is not the bass his is playing ^^^^^ is the bass with the red "vortex" design. Although that bass IS indeed a BC rish 5 string warlock bass.
Google BC Rich Warlock Vortex Signature 5-String its about 620$ and im guessing another 50 for shipping tax ect from the website im looking at AxeMusic also they have free shipping on my orders over 199$
ics vortex is one of my favorite musicians. i think him getting kicked out of dimmu is a positive though. i've always loved his voice more than his bass playing and Borknagar is a million times better than dimmu.
This video may be only 19 seconds long but it changed me it's the reason I bought a bass cause it sounded so cool I had to learn it and I wanted to play things like it so thanks ics vortex
they will never be able to play Progenies of the Great Apocalypse or Kings of The Carnival Creation, etc. without his bass skills and his amazing voice, they can replace the bass playing, but not the voice
@MetalHeadFilipeG96 i dont know any details but i read vortex and the keyboardist were having trouble with the rest of the band over some money bullshit
If u ask me, my opinion is that, in metal bass is not really for "hearing it", like a solo. It is for giving a hard background, a base where solo guitarist can stand if they want to improvize or stg. It melts into the other instruments giving them a harder sound. I play bass, my feeling is that I don't want to do wonders, I want to hold the band by giving the precise rhyme so that guitars can do the wonder. :)
a bass cant blend in or give any rhythm if you cant hear it, drums and bass are very important in a band, if they arent blending in and if its not loud enough just get rid of it in my opinion
You've got a point there, but my opinion is that bass is important to be heared by the musicians, for the audience it is likely ti give a background. When I played with my band I could follow my playing without really hearing what am I playing, because I heard the song as a whole, melt into one pice of art. But well, different play styles, different customs. The main point is the love of music. yeah =)
well if your a dimmu fan you will know that shagrath and silenoz are the founding members yes vortex kicked ass im sorry shagrath kicks ass so you must not be a real fan if you think shagrath is a piece of shit
I don't relly say Shagrath is s*** I agreee i was shocked when ive make my comment but anyway ... Its bad for dimmu to lose Vortex but if it can help that abn ... it can be great ! Sorry for my very very bad english XD
Shagrath's voice WAS great in every album, except in ISD album they sounded plastic and just bad. And he's not really versatile singer... He's versatile musician, but not that kind of singer. You don't have to hate the whole band, if you don't like one of the band members. ISD was bad album overall to me, every album till Stormblåst 2005 are masterpieces.
I like The Serpentine Offering, The Conspiracy Unfolds, The Ancestral Fever is ok, The Fallen Arises is ok and The Sinister Awakening. Those songs are far the best from the album, but still, not really impressive compared to the masterpiece Stormblåst 2005 :)
in sorte diaboli is more commercial... but well... the purpose of the album was met 100% sure... if they wanted to sold they did... and I really like the album myself is really well done...
Be aware that the signature basses aren't the same what the signature musician is using. Signature instruments are just commercial. If you really want to get your Warlock valuable, go to Vortex and ask him to write his autograph on your instrument. That's REAL signature bass.
I don't know... Songs like Progenies of the Great Apocalypse will be a bit tame live without him. Don't misunderstand me, it will always be an awesome song, but Vortex gave it the little x-factor
Yeah on myspace, apperently the band was having credit issues with Mustis so they fired him in a text message (gay), and im not sure about why they fired vortex

lol i don't even know what G&L is, but Music Man and Warwick are the top brands in quality and sound but they are extremely expensive. Ibanez is a great middle-price brand, but their basses are not my personal taste. I use an MTD (Micheal Tobias Design), it's a hand made 5 string with a Music Man pickup and the most comfortable neck you will ever play on. Pretty expensive, but it is my baby
It's true. I have a BC Rich Beast neck-thru bass and the sound is god awful. I LOVE using it on stage because it looks brutal as fuck, but I can't stand the sound. The neck actually HURTS your hand, the pickups are active but still sound like your pissing in a tin bucket, and its ungodly heavy. I actually have permanent back problems from having a low stance and headbanging with that thing on stage. I now use an MTD Artist-5, its the most comfortable and best sounding bass I've ever owned.
Is this bass EASY to play? Like are the strings really high from the neck, if you know what I mean, and can you easily play fast with your fingers on it?
He's playing ''War Pigs'', one of the best tracks of Black Sabbath!

what does that mean
LesnarNextBigThingF5 2 years ago
'Audible' means that you're able to hear something or some instrument in a song.
Basically, I'm Dimmu Borgir edited his bass to the point where you can't hear it.
Shame, he's a good bass player, and a great vocalist.
guy12343456 2 years ago
i see, and the only song you could really hear bass was in puritania
