lol, to be perfectly honest, windows 3.11 for workgroups on dos 6.22 is stable as hell. we use it on a system in work, with office 4.3, no probs what so ever :) and Win 2k is good as well.

I've noticed how these Toshibas make frequent appearances at my local thrift stores. Model numbers that start with T and end with CS. I bought one for myself a few months ago but didn't find much use for it. I installed Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Calmira, and some serial port software to avoid having to use floppy disks. I can't say "good old times" because I was still learning how to wipe my --- when this kind of thing was hype, but nonetheless I've always been a fan of retro computing.

@UltimaBrawler right click on the desktop and go to personalize. scroll to the bottom and under basic and high contrast themes there will be a theme called windows classic which is what you are looking for. if you want the taskbar to be similar to windows 95 right click that and hit propteries. under taskbar appereance click use small icons and under taskbar buttons use the dropdown bar choose never combine. also remove all your pinned icons to make it further look like 95

For fun I loaded 3.1 on a computer that had a pentium 4 dual core 3.0 ghz, and it booted so fast you didn't even get to see the title screen! Not to mention the cards on solitaire were done bouncing around after about a nanosecond!

but as times change, so does computers and their power. Therefore, when crysis was released back in September 16 2007. it was a very requiring game, but now in 2011, most pcs can handle it. good enuff explanation for ya?
