Congress isn't going to impeach the president this close to election season. The republicans learned that lesson very well. We've got bigger domestic issues here that need resolution that don't deal with the government and their bubble of a world. If we impeach Obama, we have to go back and recall at least 2/3rds of congress and the senate.
As I said before, the gov wasn't going to shut down, it was a fear tactic to cut even more without any complaing.
They used the planned parenthood issue, to stir the masses in arguement.
Well it worked.
38.5 billion cut, and they didnt touch planned parenthood.
So what was cut?
Currently nothing was stated, just a number.

Congress isn't going to impeach the president this close to election season. The republicans learned that lesson very well. We've got bigger domestic issues here that need resolution that don't deal with the government and their bubble of a world. Unemployment, social services, crime, food & water prices, our infrastructure are all in danger and could easily fall to the way side if we don't redouble our efforts and fix these problems. The leaders can wait, the people need to come first.

@jeremy7245 I can understand that and I agree. Unfortunately I just don't believe one man can change any of that. Yes there's a lot of corruption in both business and politics but the main problem is with the people. People are angry but also very uninformed. They let themselves be used by the powers that be to form tea parties, fox news, MSNBC, none of which represent the interests of actual people. And they end up electing the same corrupt f*cks over and over again. I don't see that changing.

Sadly I don't think we have people we need to make that a success either. Can you name a Jefferson for our day? More likely we'd end up with a populist like Palin or Beck, and that would make matters even worse.
I honestly don't know the way out. I wish I did but I can't see it.

@jeremy7245 Hey me too man, I think everyone is frustrated with things as they are..
Predictions? That's a good question. I haven't noticed anyone seriously campaigning yet on the left or the right. But to be honest I'm not sure how much difference it makes. The banks, the defense industry and the other lobbies have both parties in their pocket. Obama or Bush, it barely made any difference.
For now I'm waiting to see if someone like Dr. Paul is running, but my guess is they won't get a chance.
