20ALER002: Dont get me wrong, I'm a Ford truck guy but will be the first to admit that Duramax is legendary. You'd be foolish not to think so. Fully-boxed frame for 2011? Awesome stuff! But let's call it like it is. The 6.7 Power Stroke curently has more power and torque. It's really that simple, bro. I have nothing bad to say about Duramax, Power Stroke, or Cummins. All three maunufactures make really awesome heavy duty trucks at this point in time and thye've never been more equal.

@MegaFordtough Powerstroke is a hell of its engine. But by any means does not beat Duramax in every catagory. Duramax has had the 6.6 and have had nothing but good luck with it. Powerstoke has had 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, 6.7 and only 2 have stood out but 1 is going to last. They have hit and missed with everything else. Too many problems to keep count. Lets not forget that Duramax is American made and is designed at home. Not assembled mexico or canida

@lariatfx The powerstroke is a In House diesel. The 2011 Duramax is #1 in every book or mag for having the most powerful diesel in the industry. Ford is too focused on the electronics of their trucks. Great you have GPS congrats GM has that and to 1 up ford is the standard On* program in wich you can hook your vehicle up to a cell phone and start it or look at an sort of problems straight from your phone.

The ONLY reason Ford sells more trucks is because they're cheap. Thats it... I personally manage and operate a fleet of 143 government owned vehicles and the majority of our problems come from our Fords (especially the vans). They burn oil, fail to start, have electrical problems, and numerous other things go wrong that shouldn't. Whenever I am called to do a wrecker run, I always assume it's a Ford that I am picking up, and I'm usually right. Chevy isn't any better. Mopar all the way!!!

In the 2008-2009 F-350 gas engines the had a 5.4 in them. Worthless no power, No fuel economy no sales. Gm at the smallest was a 6.0 and the big one was a 8.1 that shattered the industry

I think you're referring to the 6.0 power stroke and in all fairness, Ford admitted that it had problems initially and did everything to rectify those issues. Let's not forget that Navistar, the company who built the 6.0, is really to blame and Ford simply took the blame. Lest we forget that the all mighty Duramax circa 2004 - 2005 had major inherent overheating and head gasket issues to which GM has yet to assume responsibility.

My whole family has driven Fords. My grandpa has a Dodge and we all call him the traitor of the family. I had a Ram 1500 for 1 year, that I bought  for $2000 and I put 2500 bucks in parts alone into it just to have the motor and tranny blow. I now have a Ford F-250. My first truck was a F-150 and I wish I hadnt had sold it.
