There is more to the founding of the USA then religion and freedom. There was a multitude of things that push the colonies into a revolt. History has jest whittled it down to the main ones. Top three being 1. Tax's from England and the fact that the king of England was trying to control all happening of trade and commerce. 2. Monitoring of religions, the colonist what to practice any religion without bias. 3. Oppression of the people started again, jest like the old days in Europe.

Heh, saw the comment about Not being able to listen to music without some hint of religion... and how this a bad thing. umm, the musicians are religious in some form, and its their music. Why should they change their message. There are plenty of groups that do not have that influence. Those who do, make it known by writing songs that show their beliefs. Just as another group may sing about their relationships.. alcohol, drugs, etc. I think the fact a group is willing to perform music with -->
their beliefs, and sharing it with those around them, is actually something that should be done more. Sadly, most are shot down much earlier by people saying to just give it up, and that no one wants to hear it.. I listen to music for the music itself, and the message. and War of Ages, brings both here, in a high quality showing in my opinion :)

I will be honest, these guys are influencing me to start following god like a proper christian. I was christened (Or baptised, whatever the word is) when I was a baby, but I never bothered to act religiousley or go to church etc.
That may seem like the wrong thing to say to some people, but knowing these guys are Christian, and seeing the message they bring is awesome.
I think that if someone beleive in satan, he must also beleive in god. As an atheist, I beleive in nothing but science. Not a fan of this christian thing, but the music is awesome.

i dont get the deal with metal bands be so open about being christian. this is one of my fav band, im not a christian, it doesnt bother me but why did they wanted to be labeled as "Christian Metal Core"? August Burns Red has all christian members but there not recognized as one. why do other band HAVE to be?
They don't "HAVE" to be, that's the point. They choose to be recognized as such because they believe strongly in their faith and would like to share it with others through their music. This is why Christian metal/metalcore/deathcore bands are so amazing. And for the record, August Burns Red do consider themselves a Christian band.
@BenAndCheese it's because of lyrical content. This Or The Apocalypse is a band with all Christian members (AFAIK) but they do not write songs on Christian themes, where as War Of Ages do.

only found out 2 minutes ago this group is christian. had only found 3 other christian metal bands before today.
I give any christian heavy metal band kudo's for simply being a heavy metal christian band. However, I give this group uber kudos because i love their melodies.
I used to judge this genre a lot. I viewed it as very ungodly but some of my worst times recently has been encouraged by bands like War of Ages, For Today, Sleeping Giant etc and these fellas love God and worship Him with the grace & love that He gave them to worship

This is why Christian metal/metalcore/deathcore bands are so amazing. And for the record, August Burns Red do consider themselves a Christian band.

Granted, you got me on the "thought" thing, People need this thought. But whos to say that its all wrong? Do you really believe that when you die, you just...cease to exist? Thats both mentally and morally depressing. No God is truth, whether you accept Him or not, its up to you.
