couple of questions i was thinking of going but i live ins Scotland about 250 miles away from the NEC and it would be about £60 there and back for me and my grandad (im only 14 cant go on my own lol) is it worth it ? or should i just not bother ? thanks for any help :)
@roscowhitey: Warley MRE is a very good event in most years except for 2007 when it was smaller than in most years. The 2008 and 2009 events were good as well, but I didn't go last year as I was ill. But I am going to this year's event in November and I would certainly recommended going. Depending on which Airport you are nearest to, you could get a cheap return flight to Birmingham International as the NEC is right next door to the Airport.
@roscowhitey i'm sure the show is worth the journey but not so sure if air travel is any less expensive than rail! as you may have heard the latest views from the commons that rail travel is a pleasure for the rich to enjoy! obviously a coach trip would be out of the question unless you travel the night before and book a bed and breakfast. but thats not going to be cheap ether!
@AUTubeN22 yeah im starting to think its not worth going but it does look great and well i am a railway enthuisiast so i would get the train down no other option really
@roscowhitey ok good luck! i think its the Warley exibition thats in romford in essex thats on sat Nov 12th its £4 per adult and srarts from 10.30 to 5.30 free parking if you go by car and theres going to be a trades stand and test tracks. thats all i know but theres about 18 known layouts from N to 0 gauge. so you have a good 8 weeks to save up some train fair! :)
@roscowhitey actually its the Birmingham warley exibition like ews said at the nec sorry got confused! its on Nov 19/20 its £11.50 at the door or £10 with tickets £8 parking. but as you say, its a great show. not just for enthusiasts like us & its at least 100 miles closer & a much bigger exibition than essex . plus you get 8 weeks to save up! :) i'll heading for that one with my jvc cam and pocket money just in case i see the EWS class 08 DCC shunter on sale! :)p
@AUTubeN22: Hi mate, yes its an annual show held at Birmingham NEC every November (usually the third week) as its the biggest exhibition in the UK. I am going there this year as I didn't go to the event last year.
@LJJ23ARSRUL Very innovative idea even for HO gauge, though I think we might have to wait a bit for that to come out on the British OO gauge trains however. Thanks for commenting.
I thought they would have Model Railway events like this in HK, as Hong Kong seems to be a popular destination in Asia, but I know that a lot of Model Railway events are held in Japan. Hope this helps.
when i s was like 12 i had a massive set wiv like 5 trains at a time running it was buzzin i had loads ov steam trains but iv lost it all :( now but i can always get new kit cant i??
Thank you. Yes I also found that train quite impressive as well mate. Now I wonder if Hornby will follow suit on this innovation in a few years time for the UK OO gauge rolling stock? It would be cool for this to appear in N gauge, but I dare say it would be impossible because of the limitations of N gauge.
Hello, The model train at 4:02 is a N gauge Class 153 Diesel Muitiple Unit in London Midland colours and is made by Dapol. The model train at 4:12 is a Regional Railways Class 153 that is also made by Dapol. Hope this helps.
You are welcome my friend. I will certainly watch the model train videos on your channel as well. I particularly like Japanese and Irish trains as well as British trains.
Hi, yes the Class 86 at the start is the new OO gauge Model that is due from Heljan and it looks promising! It should compliment the new Hornby MkIII DVT that is due out in December this year.
Thank you! Yes I enjoyed the Warley event as well mate. I managed to grab a Mehano Blue Tiger in the MKB livery in N gauge and also a Fleischmann OBB standard class carriage. I was hoping to bring home the MkIII Virgin Trains DLV (DVT) but unfortunately they are not yet released, but should be coming out in December this month..
@EWS60008 ok thanks but i was probably going to get a cross country or virgin train there its quiet cheap
