  • Wonderful! You've managed to take a traditional african instrument and done what most europeans do. Take away everything good about it and make it mess. Leave it to the people who made it and play it for better purposes. Thanks!

  • This came out really well. Nice job!

  • the keys are made of spring steel. I used an old plumber's snake made of spring steel I found in a dumpster for that one. Rake tines are commonly used, as well as filed down putty knives and saw blades...

  • sounds awesome! Im interested in what kind of steel you are using for the keys?

  • I built this one myself. They are available on the net but they're quite pricey, Probably worth it though if you have the money. I'm not a woodworker so it was a PITA to build.

  • Hey Music Lover nice open sound... would you know where I can find a Marimbula just like this one your using? I neeed one... thanks for sharing. Peace O.Ire.

  • The rattle is the result of hitting it with sticks. I built it for plucking with fingers but kind of liked the overdriven effect of sticks for Titus. The score for the play NEEDED distortion!

  • Fun and dramatic music. The rattle in the keys is a nice effect
