After re-watching this clip, it seems to me that Mukhina used a different technique when performing the full in @ worlds the following year, I dunno, the first somersault here is a clear full in, whereas it almost seems like its kind of a half in half out the following year......if someone wants to watch the two clips and comment im more than happy !
The great Mukhina! She was so so so far ahead of her time - the other gymnasts were doing such simple tumbles at this competition and she was by far the best.

Thanks for posting this!! Kudos to the late great Mukhina on throwing a full-in on basically a 2 inch thick wrestling mat with no springs whatsoever!

yes - always makes me laugh when gymnasts of today quip how easy it was then......forgetting of course how much they're aided today!!!
