I like this song. I like Catch 22. I don't like how people give this band shit just because Tom is not in the band and they play the songs from Keasbey Nights. I mean they still have a right to play the songs they did help make that album. Plus Tom left Catch 22 to go to college its not they kicked him out of the band. Why does every one always give them shit?
They dont really have the right to lay keasbey night songs. It was Tomas who wrote them. Catch should stick with everything ast keabesy, and streetlight are the true owners of keasbey. Catch these days cant even play songs from keasbey properrly. Though they are still a good band to me.
I think they still have a right to play the songs. I mean they still have three out of the six members in the band that recorded Keasbey in Catch 22. I also would not say that Streetlight are the true owners of Keasbey because Tom is the only member currently in Streetlight that recorded on the Catch 22 version of Keasbey.
that may be, but Tom wrote the album! It was his creation he was the songwriter they are his songs. What you are saying is that since the members of catch played these songs means they own them. That is not how it works.
That is also true Tom did indeed write the songs but did he compose a part for every instrument? Now don't get me wrong I know Tom is an fantastic musician but can he really be that good at every instrument on the album? I'm sure the members that were in the band at the time all did their part by creating the parts they play on their instruments for the songs. So how can one just say that is only his song if he didn't compose every part for every instrument on the song?
you should just all chill out and enjoy the music, what are you talking about owning the music? its fucking music its not about who's property it is, thats exactly whats wrong with the industry just let them play it ey
well writes a certain chord proggression...makes the song on guitar...with the rythm pre-set...so there's the drums...he hums the brass and reed lines he hears in his head to the members and they had in all the cool little technical shit that makes it sound awesome...but ya basically he does except for bass...
Hate to say it, these guys should be called Catch 22, the originals should just call themselves Keasbey Nights. O wait, they call themselves Streetlight Manifesto now! Haha, and Catch was started by Tomas not Gunther.
Are you kidding? Catch 22 was Keasbey Nights. Now it's just a bunch of posers who wish they were half as talented as Tomas Kalnoky. Notice how much this song blows in comparison to Keasbey, and really anything by Streetlight.
you should hear the recording...its so much better with jasta singing...its so angry...so amazing...but yet the has its one style too it too...the slap bass makes it sound sweet....either he did that all the time and you can't hear it or he's just doin it live but ya its sick.
Haha...live video my ass! Concert footage coupled with the studio recording...I've always hated that stuff. Great song, though.
I hated Keasbey Nights. Way too fast, way too staccato, and way too much Tomas Kalnoky. His voice is very annoying, he only knows how to write one kind of song, and he quit Catch 22 out of frustration (supposedly to go to art school).
I didn't get this info from Wikipedia--I got it from Tomas Kalnoky himself in the summer of 2004.
man wtf...you think this is a studio recording...i'd like to see this on a cd...i caved the other day and bought alone in a crowd...and this song is the best one on there...anyways my point...jamey jasta does the chorus in the recording...and as far as my knowledge goes they never released a different version without him...and ya jasta clearly isn't in this video...and they do the chrous different
I don't understand your implications by that comment. What wikipedia says is irelevant.
When I made my statement I didn't necessesarily blame the author of this video for the mistake, I simply wanted to correct what I saw was wrong. Perhaps you should do more research outside wikipedia?
Kevin didn't recruit Tomas and Chris, Tomas and Chris were the founders of Catch 22 and they decided to add horns so they recruited Kevin who played the trumpet... (this is concerning the description of the video)
no yeah keep up youre fucking right... tomas and chris are the founders ska kids can be dumb fucks sometimes specially on wikipedia.. you should change that if i havent already.
What are you talking about?? Their still a band they just put out a new album this year and its really good best catch 22 since alone in the crowd....and plus their touring with Less Than Jake currently.

The singer they had in this video was good. The one they have now is relatively decent.

If they feel the need to talk shit about Tomas then they shouldn't bother playing his songs anymore.

Why do they even still call themselves Catch 22? Catch 22 was Tomas. Are any of the original members still even in the band? They blow.

Shut your fucking mouth before I find you and Kill you. Catch 22 is Catch 22 regardless of members.

This wasn't the Alone In A Crowd recording, it was the Washed Up! recording, which is slightly different.
