@EndOfWill Any oldschool stuff From Florida is good. There's also some good canadian bands like Gorguts and Infernal Majesty. Also some European stuff like Cancer, late-'80s era Pestilence, and early Entombed. A lot of that shit doesn't even use blastbeats or anything and it's still heavy as fuck. Hell, even some REALLY oldschool death/thrash shit like Possessed would be awesome.

I don't think having no video really matters. Maybe just put up a picture of the album cover or something.

@EndOfWill BTW, a lot of the shit I listed isn't really technical or melodic. It's mostly just raw, brutal noise; the kind you listen to while bashing someone's skull with a sledgehammer. Basically thrash metal mixed with a shitload more brutality. Just a head's up in case you're a guy who only likes modern technical/melodic DM.

@EndOfWill Well, I particularly like bands in the style of "Between the Buried and Me" and "Opeth", but really, anything would be awesome. I'd like to hear some more melo death than I have. For video, you could just put picture/video clips of the band you're talking about in place of you. I think it's something you'd just have to try though. Also, I know you sent this to the other guy, but for classic death metal, I'd recommend "Death". I don't know many though... Good luck!

I'll agree with you there. This year will be something for me when I get my review site up and running with constant posts. I've only done so little so far but I aim this year to be where I look at all the new metal releases and do what I can to review them all. Of course, I'll also throw in the mix with reviewing older releases as I please.

As for sales, I do what I can to buy all my albums legitimately and will continue doing so. I bought an awful lot last year and will do the same again.

I agree that album reviewing is great. I haven't started yet, but you and Mr.CannibalSpork are my main inspiration for doing so.

I definitely want my opinion heard, because I listen to ALOT of music. I'm also the somewhat "DJ" in my group of friends. They enjoy what I reccomend and I want to share what I like with others.

I talk about music constantly as well. All I need is a decent camera.
