Ok first of all I'm like alot of people that grew up playing these games and back then they were hard as fuck and today there still hard as hell, so these acheivements are hard to get especially if you don't all the locations to all the chaos emeralds unless you look up a guide on the net. 2nd of all in this video you don't even show or indicate where the ring is in the 2nd act instead you just show footage of you finishing the stage collecting the crystal thing, shyeah very helpful indeed..Not.

@crazybay thats not entirely true, i think sega orignally wanted to make S3&K more versatile, i.e. sonic & knuckles as a team. I may be mistaken but i remember seeing an advert ages ago, and it seemed that knuckles was running behind sonic in the flying battery zone...if thats the case, mabye they scrapped the plan becuase it would look crazy if knuckles just 'glided in' unlike tails who can fly....'huh, where'd he come from?!' xd

You can. It's a funcion in the "extras" section of S&KXBLA. It's just that

A) You cannot backtrack to earlier stages after beating the game.

B) Due to A, no hyper glitches in the first 6 zones.

C)No gamerscore

D)I'm PRETTY sure there's no leaderboards, correct me if I'm wrong.

and E) You have 3, not 8 save files.

Most games have the same xbox achievments as the trophies in ps3 like fallout 3 but these are easy because its an arcade game think of halo where on legendary if you complete it you get an achievment but on legendary you die in seconds and the enemys take about 3 clips to kill cause they have shields and gta IV they have endarngered species achievment which requires finding 200 hidden pigeons that dont glow or give location hints and kill them ... so some of them are really quite hard

Protip on getting a perfect in the Blue Sphere special stages (If you never played Sonic 3 in the Megadrive/Genesis era or on a collection) :

Just transforming the blocks of spheres into rings will not be enough. Many newcomers forget you actually have to collect every ring to get the Perfect and extra 50k points.

You can also only do a ring conversion on blocks that look similar to this:
