Unfortunately the tea party has been co-opted by the neo-cons on one side and the Koch Brothers on the other, so now they don't even support Ron Paul anymore, especially not for POTUS. The tea party patriots have announced they are endorsing the pro-patriot act/pro-NDAA/pro-bailouts/pro-­war/pro-torture Freddie Mac lobbyist Newt Gingrich, with Romney coming in second, and Paul coming in second to last trailing Bachmann and only beating Huntsman.
