hey krimh...i notice that alot of drummers swing their feet back and forth when doin like blur bass....does that help or is it just preference..i was wondering cause i cant do blur bass for too long does swinging them back and forth help in indurance or whatever???

swinging your feet around while doing double bass uses the movement of other muscles in your legs to move the pedal down to hit the drum, since your using different muscles as you swing your foot your increasing endurance instead of just going for an up down method thus not sharing energy output through more muscles

i dont swing my feet around, i actually cant i tried it but it feels weird for me, i leave mine straight, but can still keep up a good pace... i think its preferance, but im no expert lol
