  • Mulatto power

  • this bitch is so obsessed with her being biracial....who gives a rat ass

  • why can't people be defined by where there from rather than the colour of there skin?

  • @kingojugo sad to say the truth.....but thats america for u

  • Hillary needs a hair cut. She looks like Shaggy Dog

  • In Hollywood, all of the mixed actresses get work. What does that say about about fully Black women? Are they not talented? Are they not beautiful? Are they not smart? Of course, they are! Women with true African features are not represented. Fair skin is so relished that the beauty of all women of color is overlooked and undervalued. If mixed actresses do not want to play the "Black women" parts, don't. Save them so sistas who look like me can see themselves and be affirmed.

  • Hillary needs a hair cut. She looks like Shaggy!

  • Hillary Banks has some nappy hair!

  • @23Highlanders well shes is part black so stfu

  • Can you act?

I wrote a book and think you would be perfect for the starting character:

Mulatto Queen: Grandmother of all Europe

    at Amazon

  • U are what your father is ................there is no such thing as a mixed race ......America started up all this confusion ...........Blacks Latino's & Native Americans are God 's Chosen People of the Bible "the children of Israel" ....get right before america gets destroyed

  • when I was in junior high school this young black male told me in my face that if I was light skin than I would be pretty so please stop complaining that you have it so bad that you are biracial because I have it worse than you just for BEING DARK SKIN.

  • @scarla983 How would you know which situation is worse when you've only experienced your own? Black people or mixed people of all shades are discriminated against and ridiculed, so why try to diminish what these women have been through as people of mixed race?

  • @sphrkilo haha you know they always say ''im not just black'' all the time..most got a hard time accepting the black side because of what black is in this world. which is blakc is ugly Dark wide nose and flith with no class. so when they say im not just black there saying im white too so im more equal to the whites because im one of you so u cant treat me like those no class blacks. most want to be white so they embrace more of there white side than there black side. white is superior.

  • @MDefsquad9 You keep saying "most" as if you have actual evidence to prove that, when in reality MOST people who are half white do not look white and are not accepted as such. People I know who are mixed identify themselves as whatever race they appear to be to society whether it's black, white, asian, or native american. Either way, they shouldn't have to choose. There's nothing wrong with saying "i'm not just black" because that is the truth.

  • @sphrkilo ok ok you right I agree with you..and why dont they say Im not just white or im just whatever they are...its always im not just black its not the fact that they said it because yea they are not ''just'' but its why they saying it..i know how they do the ones in white suburbs they say that ''im not just''. just to get accept by there white friends.just like are president white folks saying hes not black hes biracial..um he is black but he is also white regardless of what he looks like.

  • @MDefsquad9 If we're talking strictly about mixed people that are half black and half white, there are few instances where anyone would confuse them for being white, so what opportunity would they have for sayin "I'm not just white?" And as far as Barack Obama, he can tell me he's biracial all day, because he is. Calling himself black would ignore his white heritage just as calling himself white would ignore his black heritage. He appears to be black, however he is biracial.

  • @sphrkilo yea but white folks always say hes not black..like saying he is not black at all..i know hes biracial he can it as much as he wants it doesnt matter to me same goes for any other thats like him.but we all know that most African americans have something in them except for black..ones that know this what should they say there not just black?..and they dont have to be biracial.

  • I am a dark skin sister and i can say from my experience being dark is not really considered beautiful I've been called monkey from being made fun of by black men so why are you making this such a big issue of being biracial you are more excepted in today's society than I am you have a better chance of dating white, black, latino,or asian men than me, do you have any idea what dark skin women go through being called ugly.

  • Mixed are also talking about how hard it is for them

when they have it easy getting told how hot and beautiful esp in the media

How the dark skin blacks on the other hand have a problem how often to them finding souloutins for they're problem!

  • Should there be a third race? What about people who are 1/4 white or 1/4 black, 1/8, etc ? What if it's asian and black or arab and white? Will they have forums to declare that they are bi-racial and that there are no mixed arab/black acting roles? Where do we stop?

  • I think mullato should be considered white personally I never see one and think he/she is black. they're a lost cause lol they have no idea wtf they are

  • @travelingnomad1 I know exactly what I am, I don't need other people telling me I am confused when you have no idea what it is like to be me, in the same way I don't know what it is like to be you.

  • I get that you want to accept both sides of your race equally and I that's a good thing, but why dedicate an entire website and vlogs to being biracial? It's awfully racially centric. Race is such a silly concept to put so much emphasis on. I can't understand why anyone would want to make their skin color a larger deal in their life than it should be. It's already annoying enough that others may do it. I'd be aggravated if people grouped my race with my identity and personality.

  • MOST OF YOU BI RACIAL PEOPLE ARE VERY CONFUSED, JUST BE HUMAN AND CALL IT A DAY. WHAT IS YOUR POINT ABOUT BEING BI RACIAL; SO WHAT. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT ABOUT BEING NOT BLACK OR WHITE NON SENSE. MANY OF THESE PEOPLE REALLY DO NOT HAVE AN AIM. MANY OF YOU SHOULD REALISE THAT ALL PEOPLE COME FROM AFRICANS AND THAT IS IT. MOST OF THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST TALKING ABOUT HOW PEOPLE LOOK. UTTER NONSENSE.

  • @daniels37 I don't know about you but in the real world-not the fantasy world you live in-people get judged or categorzied because of race.

Biraciality is an accurate label that denotes people of dual or more races and is based on parentage.

This country has made race a huge issue and has categorized people thus.

All biraciality is an accurate category for people like me-nothing more or less.

The idea of "just being human" is just bleeding heart nonsense.

  • btw i love karyn she's so beautiful and her kids are just gorgeous!

  • why are there no make-up tutorials on youtube for mulatto women?

  • Biracial Tiffany, wherever you are, thanks for this video.

As a writer and online film critic, and a bi-racial man, I found this video great.

I can certainly offer my perspective on films and race although I haven't lived in LA for more than a year.

    Thanks again

  • From reading the comments I just want to say that so many ppl are obsessed w/ what "race" or "mixture" someone else is. Truth be told: Who cares? It's always a factor of someone has this kind of hair texture and that skin tone and blah blah blah. Just be yourself! Why is that so difficult? Stop focusing on what mixture you all are and focus on just existing. These topics are really getting old.

  • Biologically, people say that race doesn't exist, but divergent evolution exist and racial differences are real, but they are not what makes us human. I am interested, why is race such a big issue in the US ? Historically it makes sense because slavery actually judicially divided people into two different subcultures, but today people are part of the same cultural (especially the increasingly global one) and I keep hearing race as a negative issue. Why still ?

  • @lilangel2225 well, actually black americans have much european and native american genes so a mulatto in america usually is not only a mulatto.

  • mulatto are allways complaing and i dont know why cant you just be happy with yourself and get over it gosh its not a bad thing to be black

  • @phrenchguy02 yes i said they complaing

  • @phrenchguy02 oh hey, my bad. I pressed the wrong button. I wasn't trying to comment on anything that was said here. This whole new youtube format is confusing! :)

  • You don't understand the point of it all, silly. I will assume you are racist or just one of those people who don't know much about history when it comes to culture and people.

  • wow i love this.

  • hei i'm half african and half european and i noticed not a lot of mulatto's are proud of being mixed like i am.i have the impression that a lot would rather be black or wihte but not mixed.i'm happy like this and i want a mixed girl lol

  • I am glad they have a forum like this. Thanks Tiff for sharing.

  • They all obviously have African features and look African. The word Black has negative meanings and I don't want to be called that. I am African/European/Latin and not a color.

  • At the end of the day I define myself as I see fit.

  • Why do you always state that you are bi-racial in every blog like you are some lone wolf? You are human! I have bi-racial friends, but in America, if you are mixed with black, people will treat you black, no matter your upbringing and they see you as black.

  • Mixed people will always be grouped as black. I dont like the word mixed, it sounds like a experiment, I prefer the term bi-racial. A lot of black americans are bi-racial

  • Hi BR Tiffany,

Wow, I can't believe I just spent that past 3 hours listening to most all of your blogs (while doing homework). I stumbled on your site by accident as I was looking for Nigerian Comedy (another story for another time...) but I never stopped to think that a biracial person could have a different experience that "regular black people". Most of my nieces and nephews are biracial, and I'm pretty sure my grandkids will be biracial (my kids are grown) so this perspective helpful.

  • I'm African American. My true mixtures are black, German, Native American, Irish & French. So I'm pretty mixed. My dad kind of looks like a white guy, my mom is dark. People tell me I look Indian and on certain days I'm just a question mark. Being AA meant I'm black, but we have no idea what country we can trace back to or what our history is before slavery & oppression. Everyone has problems, so why do biracials make it seem like just them? I just dont get that...

  • @chocolatbuny if your mixture your not African-American

  • I totally understand where they are coming from and they have the right to call them selves biracial...however, I CANNOT TOLERATE biracial actresses actling like theri skin color has nothing to do with them getting all the best black roles. C'mon...gimme a break...they don't wanna adresss the benfits of looking kinda white in white dominated media.

  • word.....

  • you have problems with what your own race is dont you?

  • I don't care about someone being mixed. That doesn't mean shit to me.You are who you are,and Hollywood is garbage for the segregation they've created.Paul Mooney was right.Watch his stand-up "Jesus was black,so was Cleopatra, know your history".He says some very interesting things in that stand up.

  • This is why black people have such a poor out look on them selves. you people believe lighter is better! and u see Africans as jungle people which they are not! so fuck you! and have a horrible day!

  • alot of black people has at least eurpopean or white in them around the line so yea its nothing actually suprising because here in america lots of blacks has american and white last names and has light skin and is at least mixed with white or native american only full blooded blacks comes form like the african countrys but here in the usa lots of blacks has at least white in them so yea its not a big deal

  • damn! she still sexy!

  • i'm here because I read angela nissel's book Mixed. she's different from what I thought she'd be like from the book.. kind of neurotic

omg thats hillary from the fresh prince of bel air! i didn't know she was mixed

  • A person with one European parent and one African parent in America could be called European African American or Euro-African American or bi-ethnic - I like bi-ethnic rather than bi-racial because we are all one race with various ethnicity's. It would be easy to eliminate the discriminative black and white references on documents - can't say that social skills will ever be perfect but better - BUT documents can easily eliminate racism, and everyone will fill out a document at some point.

  • There is no such thing as black and white ethnicity. The color tone ranges from brown to beige. Black and white description is rooted in exaggerated racism and should be removed from all official documents. European and African descent are the appropriate descriptions of descent - we all lived in one region before Genesis 11 when we spoke one language - at that time we separated in to regions of the earth by language.

  • I'm a fan Karyn Parsons...hotness.

  • Mixed black/white women are easily the most gorgeous on the planet

  • just like tapehead004 is the most racist bigot in the world!

  • @tapehead004 NO CHINESE & BLACK, OR INDIAN & BLACK WOMEN ARE THE EASILY MOST GORGEOUS WOMEN ON THE PLANET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tapehead004 Frankly , some of them are and Karyn Parsons is simply outstanding. She's looks good here.

  • @tapehead004 false

  • @tapehead004 You got that right. The best of both worlds.

  • Great! Thanks for posting this.

  • Hmmm..One of the characters of my novel is biracial. It wasn't on purpose, it's just a fact of life. I didn't make it a big deal. Without conscious, I wrote in his polish-american mother and african-american father. I wasn't trying to make a point because i didn't think a pointed needed to be made. But I see now that those characters ARE needed in our literature & our movies. The character, however, never talks about being biracial. He just is. But the book is for a racially diverse audience.

  • isn't it obvious that your biracial surely you

don't need to announce it like a problem !?

  • Welllll does she do that???

  • Most black people are dark brown and most mixed race are light brown.. At the end of the day, they are both brown. Both different shades of beautiful. Neither can ever be white.

  • They never said they are white, first of all, and yes they can be white, but they are seen as bi-racial

  • @AfricancoolChic why would you emphasize the fact that neither can ever be white..you think that somehow unites them?

  • All I can say is wow! I got hooked on your vlogs by chance watching both CNN Black in America 2 and various peoples responses. You are awesome in so many ways! Keep it up. While you vlog for your own therapeutic reasons, you impact thousands of lives in such a positive way.

You bring out the human in us all.

    Much respect,

    MrSerintipidy7

  • This is positively amazing! I've been a big fan of Karyn's work ever since she was in Mixing Nia. I had a black family get together this weekend, and they were so curious about my life as a biracial woman. Then we talked about our irritation with some white people who think they're mixed and say silly things like "I'm a 'mutt', I'm Irish, French, and Italian" as if they're a 'color' and they know what it's like... it personally gets on my nerves as I feel they can't relate! Your opinion Tiff? :D

  • @SuchAPrettyMess same way u want to be able to self-identify why deny them their right to identify with being a mulatto.

  • I love biracial women...Karyn Parsons is someone I would date in a heartbeat!

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Why can't you halfcrackers be like Obama? He never plays the woe is me look at me I'm a halfcracker and life is so hard card.

You got it good in this country - a president, A best actress Oscar, a broad choice in romantic interests, Blacks and Whites trying to look like you...

Get over yourselves. Choose a side, as did Obama, and move along. Or don't choose a side. But PLEASE just shut up about it!

  • I think YOU should shut up "cure".

  • choose a side?

  • HA. Society doesn't care what side you chose. If you say ur white and you go to a clan meeting you will not walk out alive.

  • lol, yep that's true, that's real. lets be realistic here , your right.

  • yea more receptive with coloured people

  • Where was this held??

  • Wow! Ms Jones! You have a documentary? I haven't checked in lately. Congrats on your progress. That panel seemed interesting.

  • Why do biracials (especially black/white ones) nearly always make that (their "biraciality") the crux of their identity? I'm biracial, too (black and Indian) but I don't go on and on about it. The world takes you at face value anyway. And I look more racially ambiguous than this girl (Tifffany); lighter complected, too!

  • .....but Black and Indian isn't a popular combination. Do you even look like either race?

  • What does my mix being unpopular have to do with anything? I feel like this girl is continuing the tragic mulatto myth, which has been falsified. In my experience, mulattoes don't have it better than any other non-black minorities, i.e. Asians, Indians and Hispanics.

Since you asked, I don't look recognizably black,no. But I don't have narrow features either. Most people initially think I'm Latina or Arab.

  • "What does my mix being unpopular have to do with anything"

.....because you mention why do mulattos have this crux of their identity. You being half Indian. My point was most Indians havd brown skin, most black people have brown skin, so they're less likey to have a problem finting in and there isn't a history of racism between the two.

"In my experience, mulattoes don't have it better than any other non-black minorities"

    Who said they did?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Most mulattoes have brown skin, too. That doesn't make them immune from the taunts of full black and predominately black looking people, which I know I experienced, too, as a child.

  • \\"& sorry, not all Indians are brown skinned. Look at Freddie Mercury"//

Did I say all? I clearly stated most. Plus, most Indians have brown skin. Thats just a fact.

Yes Indians are racist, but I was referring to the history between blacks&whites. Indians racism has little affect on the world as black people do not live in India for the most part, they live in white American and Europe.

  • sorry, but Freddy was Persian not Indian.

  • Why are you tell me this? It was "sufoke" who brought it up to support her argument. I'd always thought Fride was a white gay rasied in India.

  • why am I what? I'm just stating the fact that he was Persian/Iranian. ok?

  • Comment removed

  • What the fuck are you talking about? You were talking about Freddy. I don't care what you are.

P.S.Persian/Iranian is like Swedish/Greek not being white.

    Either way you're still Arab.

  • He is an Indian of Parsi (Iranian-Zoroastrian) descent. The Parsis have been in India for at least 1,000 years. As such, Parsis have lost touch with their Persian families in the same way that most American blacks (or whites, for that matter) have. How is Freddy NOT Indian?

  • \\"Indians are some of the most hateful people on the planet. That's the reason my mix is so unpopular to begin with."//

True again, but like I said an Indian who is racist in England or America means nothing, since he/she doesn't control society. If a black man got with a pretty Indian women only the family would have hate, Indians on the street and everyday life would be powerless.

If that were a pretty white woman however, white men can do something and make life difficult.

  • \\"by their inbetween-ness, their juxtaposition between the "duelling" races. It's an archaic mindset."//

That maybe so, but they are constantly reminded of it probably on a daily basis. That would drive anyone up the wall. You said you look Latin or Arab. That being the case I guess with you nobady cared.

  • Could you possibly have said this a little more delicately?

Nobody cared? Loads of half black/half-white biracials are mistaken for a different race entirely. There are really only three possibilities as to how any biracial will look: black, white, or some other race. So, up to a third of mulattoes may look neither race.

And I later realized that you said most Indians, not all; thats why I deleted and re-wrote my answer, but it stuck anyway. Forgive me.

  • \\" which I know I experienced, too, as a child."//

.....but yourself said don't look black but Arab. Therefore, why would you be expected to be immune from the taunts of full black people?

  • I (and my mother, my father, and everyone else in my immediate family) expected (me) to be treated as deferentially as any of the other children. I guess we should've known better, huh? My mom should've taught me to steer clear of the black kids at school since she herself was beaten up as a kid and called "white nigger." And she's just a light-skinned black woman! At five years of age, I should have KNOWN--with my butt-length wavy hair--

there was NO HOPE for me!

  • Err.....okay?!

What the hell are you talking about? I finished talking to you a week ago.

    I was talking to danicontessa.

  • I was responding to your fatheaded comment from a week ago: since I look non-black, why would I expect to be exempted from the taunts of blacks? My retort, which obviously escaped you, was simply that I deserved equal treatment.

Your comments to danicontessa, mistaken though she was, were belligerent and uncalled for. If you paid any attention, you would see that I also addressed and corrected (did NOT spit curses at) her. You, however, are beyond my reproach. I am FINISHED with you.

  • My mistake.

Was the taunts from black girls? I can't see black boys having a problem with you.

  • Yes, they were from girls. Only girls could be that meanspirited. Black boys have never taken issue with me. Why would they?

  • Answer me this. Would you marry a black man or an Indian man or it just doesn't which one you end up with.

  • Race will have no bearing on my decision. I'll say I'm very attracted to Indian men, but they're a rare breed where I live. I've dated nearly every race of man. My most recent relationship was with a blond-haired, blue-eyed white guy.

    It just ended.

  • Ahhh, I see.

  • you remind me ov anne hatherway! lol urh voice and facal expressions x

  • Hey Tiffany! Glad to meet you at the festival. This is Angela that sat in front of you. haha. You have a fantastic memory. Thanks for posting clips of this I was actually really late. Keep doing what you're doing. God bless.

  • PART 3: what i want to know is why are more white people rejecting the notion than black people?? ITS NOT ANYTHING FOR BLACK PEOPLE TO BE PROUD OF, IT'S MEANT TO SAY BLACK BLOOD IS SOO BAD THAT IT CONTAMINATES ANYTHING IT TOUCHES. WHY ARE BLACK PEOPLE ADOPTING THIS INSTEAD OF REJECTING IT ???

  • You say it's nothing for black people to be proud of, but why not? My children are biracial and my (black) husband and I have discussed the fact that they will most likely be seen as black girls, but he says (jokingly) that it's because his blood is so STRONG, it overpowers my (weak) caucasian blood (hahaha). It's not 'contamination', it's more like a........supplement? I think it all comes down to whether you feel good about who you are, period.

  • PART1: It's not anything to be proud of BECAUSE it says that black blood is a fucking taint. Are u serious? since when is having blood thats looked at as a contamination something to be proud of? i'm sorry I can not and will not view the black blood in me a fucking disease. Why isn"t it something to be proud of? okaaayyyyy !!! think about it a little more.

  • PART2: I'm not saying black blood is nothing to be proud of cause IT ISSS what I'm saying is... going along with a rule that says you are black not because it's beautiful but because you have been contaminated. the black blood in me didn't contaminate shitt OK please.

  • PART3:The history of that concept was meant to state that black people are inferior and something to be avoided where as if you had as little as one drop then it deemed you as not worth anything but to be a slave and FYI I Feel damn good about myself okay, enough to not one drop myself and call myself contaminated.

  • I guess I just don't relate to the "contamination" idea. Like I said, we see our childrens' "black blood" as something completely positive. I know you are talking about the historical connotations of the one drop rule, but that is, in my life at least, indeed HISTORY.

  • PART2: Now from just this poll alone it looks like over half of the blacks asked, apply the old "ONE DROP RULE" while over half of the white people asked viewed Obama as Biracial and the One Drop rule didnt matter to them. Sounds like more blacks want to hold on to a racist concept than white the people.

  • Blacks are not the only ones holding on to the one drop rule. The only reason some whites consider Obama biracial is because he is the president. If he were a drug dealer or murderer I'm sure most of them would just call him black.

  • I hate when some biracial people try to blame blacks for the one drop rule when in fact white people created the rule and continue to use it. White people hold all the power in the this country if they really wanted to eliminate the one drop rule they could have a long time ago with or without the consent of black people.

  • obviously the one drop rule came from white people, but a lot of black people still cling to this slave mentality description, which is completely unscientific.

  • PART1 To NappyAngela I'm not Blaming blacks for the one drop rule we all know it was created by white people, I'm blaming blacks for helping to keep it going, when blacks re-enforce it by ALSO one dropping NOW black's are part of the reason that it is still continued i.e. part of the damn problem.

  • PART2: TO NappyAngela Blacks accept it and have adopted it. its not only whites peoples fault anymore (it was at first) now black people are helping it to stay here by not rejecting it. we can all agree that the concept is racist so why are black people going along with it?

  • To NappyAngela PART3: u enforce it = u agree to it = it will still continue because the very people it was meant to degrade are still abiding to it and no one is challenging it. and then when we have a Biracial person that does challenge it BY NOT "One Dropping" themselves they are knocked down for it and held in contempt for it by who? NOT by white people, but by Black people.

  • I do not have a problem with biracial people wanting to be identified as biracial but I do not like that biracial people seem to think we are the only ones still holding on to the one drop rule. White people will not say anything in fear of being called racist but most of them will always view most biracials as black no matter what.

  • That is the only point I was trying to make. White people will never tell you how they truly feel when it comes to race relations. Even if they tell you they are cool with it they may not be.

  • Very true. Case in point...Barack Obama. The White supremacists and racists in general still see him as a negro.

  • To NappyAngela PART4: what happened when Tiger Woods said he identified as Multiracial? black people attacked him for it not white people. what happened when Mariah said she Identified as Multiracial? it wasn't white people attacking her and calling her confused was it? Black people won't let it die its not white people's fault anymore

  • White people would not attack tiger because they are afraid of being called racist but Fuzzy Zeller said everything they were thinking about Tiger Woods for them.

  • no, tiger's white colleagues just made racist comments about fried chicken & watermelon being served when he won the master's. most blacks can look at mariah & clearly see that she's biracial + she's never said being black was a neg. i think most blacks are more vocal because it seems that biracials who obviously look black have a problem being seen as black, but don't have a problem when being associated with white. i myself don't give a ish. if y'all don't want to be black don't be black.

  • that is so true.

  • Why is it like that for Obama, but when it comes to anyone else, they're called black.

I think it's because of the title. Anything else, and that 55% would have been a tad bit lower.

  • PART1:A Poll on CNN during Obama's run for office stated % of black people that look at Obama as Black and not biracial was 64%. % of whites that looked at Obama as black or not black it came back as 55% of whites looked/look at Obama as Biracial and 45% look at him as just black.

  • 1. I am glad she brought up the issue of biracials being represented as black women. Just as it is not fair for mixed girls to have to call themselves just black, its not fair that black girls are constantly told they are not beautiful enough to play themselves in TV/movies

    2. I agree that we need to be comfortable having more discussion. The IR dating issue (black men/white women) is a victim of this cycle too. Its too complicated to write just on this reply though!

    great clip!!

  • Prt 2:Mixed people who have more of a white phenotype can pass as whites and call themselves white. However, I havent seen or heard any of the mixed people I know call themselves white. Take the late Walter White for example. He looked white but considered himself Black, albeit he was mixed. In fact, in his autobiography, he states: "I am a Negro. My skin is white, my eyes are blue, my hair is blond. The traits of my race are nowhere visible upon me." Nonetheless, good vid Tif.

  • My daughters biggest complaint during the Obama run for the presidency was the media's and peoples (including my own) use of the term "Black" to describe him. We kept them home from school on his inauguration and when the white secretary at school asked why, I said "because it's a historic day especially for my girls as biracial citizens." Her children too are mixed with black and she replied "oh yeah, I should have done that too, didn't even think about the biracial thing."

  • That was very interesting. thanks for sharing that with us.

  • There is alot of great things being said, but Obama is still considered black by most and not biracial except to other biracials.

  • Thats not true Obama is considered biracial not just by biracial people

  • Stay strong beautiful girl! Positive Vibrations!!!

  • Thank you for sharing this darling! I'm mixed too and there is this misconception that if you are mixed you are automatically light skinned with good hurr... not sure where this comes from and to me... having hair in and of itself is GOOD!

  • Comment removed

  • I am multi-racial. I have a sister and both of us are of complete different skin tone (my sister being dark skinned and myself fair). We even have different hair textures where I have to relax my hair and she doesn't. There's a great misconception that to be bi-racial or "mixed" only results in fair skinned children.

  • Absolutely right, well said, we can indeed vary enormously, mixed-race people can be any shade from almost white to almost black and our hair is also a variable gene, running the gamut from full black African hair type to nearly straight European type, even our facial features can be anything from black to white average type, I've lost count the amount of times that I've tried to explain this to some who just don't get this simple fact about us.

  • hi tiffany, i really wanted to go to see your movie but i was unable to. do you think you will ever post it on youtube? if they have this event next year i will definately go. looks like i missed a lot.

  • Great video Tiff!

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing!

  • wow i loved this a lot! GREAT VID.

  • Great discussion. I didn't know Hillary Banks was biracial. I must say that your videos have changed my mind about the whole biracial issue. I used to think biracial people should call themselves black but now after watching your videos I think they should have the choice without being attacked,

  • I didnt know they had to choose LOL..i always thought mixed people were mixed. Ive learned too :)

  • By choose I just meant that some biracial people might still want to call themselves black for whatever reason and they should be able to without attacks from those who think they should call themselves biracial.

  • they're considered black anyway so why shouldn't they call themselves black?

  • Mixed people are not just black were more then one race and we have the right to choose who we are. I am not going to deny are part of me just for what society thinks of me.
