yes .. h22 tranny has closer gears were as the H23 is longer. if your gonna boost your H22 i say keep the H23 tranny. thats what i did when i boosted my old h22 accord. i notice a huge difference with my accord when it was h22 with 23 tranny and then the 22.. if you look at my video the H22a civic one thats a bone stock motor with full interior and im not skinny guy also. use mine and see if there is a difference in your speed. you might be able to tell from that. (also its a 96 hatch)

There is no replacement for displacement. It is amazing how they get soo much horsepower from a 4cyl.
Stock for stock if you take 100 domestics. 99 of them are fast. and if you take 100 imports only about 10 of them are fast.
OBVIOUSLY you can have a domestic beat a import and the other way around as well. IF you put money into it.
If you keep the cars the same, turbo a stock civic. It might beat the mustang. BUT if you turbo the mustang. Well i think you know.

But if you were to keep the stock honda civic engine and build it I dont think it can outrun a 4.6 ford motor. the numbers mean the displacement, like B16 is a 1.6 H22 is 2.2, and if thats a non sh model engine it has 200 and like 175 torque i think, and i mean that civic weighs like probably under 2000lbs. i means thats like 1 hp to every 10 lbs man

well Im an import driver myself. (08 civic si) I just hate when domestics always call out civics and ac's. They never want to pick on 3000GT's, NSX's, or if one shows with one, a Skyline. Thats when they begin to make excuses (weight advantage, more upgrades, "bottle fed", etc.)

im not bein a hater but either that mustang driver cant drive or he missed a gear cuz a stock mustang of that model runs in the mid or low nines..and that civic is pretty quick due to that prelude engine....but i would own both these cars..i have a 2006 mustang gt average runs about 8.71 but will run 8.5 , i can get it to run 8.3 or 8.4 but that takes alot of practice

I can agree with your comment, only because I myself, being a big Honda enthusiast, wouldnt buy a civic for that much. Especially when I could buy a early 90's civic, put in a K24, and turbo the shit out of it, and still be well under 30 grand. And walk all over Mustangs, Corvette's, and the likes.
