i was there on vaction when the hurricane was coming but i had too leave early due to a mendatory eviction in OC oh and two day before finding out about everyone having too leave OC cuase of the hurricane there was an earthquack i was in my condo and everything was shaking so yeah preettyy horribale vaction.

Not that uncommon. Largely because the barrier island is nearly at sea level there is not much space for rain run-off to go for a while. I'm sure it didn't take that long to go away.
