  • actually over 35,000 Il2s were produced...

  • Adolf Galland was a General, not a Colonel

  • 1000000 ppl died in Yugoslavio only, at least they could mention that and over 50 diviions attacked Yugoslaveia from 4 sides!!!

  • Why is this epsode named "campaing in the Balkans" when there is almost nothing about the Balkans in int? I was hoping it would be focused on the partisan fighting in Greece and Yugoslavia

  • you don't really have to be smart to know that hitler was a horrible comander. when he plan something is like he had shit in his head everything was planed with the ass

  • Very good documentary.

  • Not a whole lot of "Balkans" here, as the title suggests

  • Yeah, I was expecting much more.

  • The battlefield series have a tendency of not keeping proper focus on what their episodes are supposed to be about.

  • @askjiir Only the latter ones. The first series were so much better

  • Every army, or organization for that matter, have a high ranking officer like Walter Model, who loves to inspect and micromanage everything, as seen at 1:50 .

It might be a good propaganda personally, but it hinders every moves and could possibly destroy morale and integrity of the unit.

A commanding officer meddling with a corporal at 6am? His Lts would have to wake up at 3am, and their men would have to work overnight. Now, imagine this paranoia in an Army or Army Group level. Ouch. :P

  • The background sound of the ME-262, at around 6:00, is that of a propeller driven plane.

  • Yep, rather distracting. I'm not a fan of adding audio to silent footage in the first place, of course.

  • Who the hell sacks their best Generals.

  • yes, italians were a huge waste of time, and il duce a nut case and coward.

  • if Mussolini (for me, the worst ww2 leader) dont attack the greeks, the wehrmacht could launch Barbarrosa sooner and also could avoid the russian winter, and moscow would be in german hands, sadly that was not possible due to the ignorancy of one man: Benito Mussolini

  • hmmmm if.....

  • " ignorancy"

    ?

    Irony?

  • so glad your back/

  • welcome
