I just finished this book. I give it a 5-6/10 score. It was well written and draws beautiful imagery but the story line is dry and static. After reading "Grapes of Wrath" I shouldn't have expected anything else. Steinbeck is a classic and worth reading, but I find him mind-numbingly boring.
