As an English major in college, I studied Shakespearean drama a great deal. This was back when only a handful of students had access to the very first steam-powered computers. Nevertheless I was able to view many of Shakespeare's plays on primitive video playback devices. Of all the performances of Hamlet that I have seen, few have affected me like this one. After watching this, I cried, too.

There is an error in one of the jokes: AO Scott never said that Attack of the Clones was better than the original Star Wars. He said that about Revenge of the Sith; a much more reasonable opinion (albeit one not funny enough to make your joke work well).

Theater isn't dead. I saw an awesome piece (Shakespeare "medley" in English and Danish, with music and excellent acting) the other day. And *that's* what the theater world need to focus more on. TV and movies are far more effective at making the "fourth wall" then theater is - as theater _doesn't have_ that wall! It's all in the heads, so let's break it down! Engage the audience!
