I am 24 now and I would really like to take my flexibility to the next level. I've been doing martial arts for quite some time now and my flexiblity is not that bad. I can do roundhouse kicks above head height fairly easy and my sidesplit position is at about 135°. Do you think I might be too old to ever reach a sidesplit? Is there something like an age limit?
hi Mr Zaichik i have a question.I 'm interested to buy your product but i don't understand one thing in the offer i explain it:if i click on the offer Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Splits DVD with 1 FREE Resistance Band!
on your site under there is write Better Together with: Strength & Flexibility Book. What's means?the book isn't inclusive ?
Hi Paul,im wondering if you could help me, I have this dvd however i train muay thai 3-5 times a week and im not sure how to incorporate this into my training. My training normally consists of a warm up,light stretches then the training itself. Before i got the dvd i was doing some deep stretches at the end of my training session everyday and then a normal oil massage after my shower. Can u please tell me if an dhow it is possible to incorporate this in and around my training. thanks alot.
will u wb plzzzzzzzzzz soon as how to do each walm up and for how long and each streach and what could i use to relax muscles? plzz i need to learn splits
I know that, I was just curious because I know I am capable of true front split because at my gymnastics class when they push me I go flat, i was just curious as to whether by applying your conditioning methods i would be able to achieve that without needing to force me down?
I've choson to purchase your DVD and Manual from your site. from what I've seen you seem incredibly knowledagable (if thats how u spell it :S) and I am excited to try out your methods :)
3 weeks into the splits dvd workout and I already have open front split and almost have true front split. My core strength has increased dramatically and the muscle mass and definition in my legs is increasing too. Also pains that I used to have are al but gone. I still however have alot to improve on. side split is on the way too. Thanks so much man , I had no flexibility when I first started this program.
Having the both book and DVD I would say the DVD is essential. There's a lot in the book to get started and the DVD really helps go into the finer detail of the positions. I don't think human movement can ever truly be conveyed in the written form. You have to see it to understand it and then perform it to get the benefit. I mourn that my DVD got lost in a house move :(. Saving up cash for the Kicking Techniques series though. Looks just as excellent. In short - DVD thouroughly recommended!
I bought this dvd and have been using it for about a week. I have already seen flexibilty gain after just a few workouts but even more surprising has been about 15% increase in my core strength. I believe that I will have full splits in about 3 months.
I really would love to see you make some clips where rather than you performing all of the exercises you would lead some less flexible people through them. Given your extraordinary levels of flexibility you are able to show how the exercises are done perfectly however this does not give a true and accurate representation of how the laymen would go about commencing a stretching routine with full splits in mind.
Your videos and expertise are top notch, keep up the good work.
Thanks for your comment. Actually if you look though my video, you will see that most of them teach how to do something, rather then demonstrate something.
paul im gona buy your dvd!!!!! that's how good i think you are, if i notice improvements in your clips then i shall hope for some significant changes from the dvd =]. im 17 and i don't like the idea of age increasing stiffness :S. anyways im v excited about the dvd and can't wait to notice significant differences. i think one thing that sets you apart from the other atheltic trainers is that you are very precise and informative due to your years of research as a sports scientist =]
I have that dvd, plus all your other dvds. I really like the available information you have in it. I like the correct anatomical positioning you do in your stretches as well.
remember chap that you must always develop strength in the muscles used, in conjunction with developing your flexibility. 4 most ppl the limiting factor to going down into box splits is the adductor muscles simply arent strong enough to support the bodyweight as one goes lower. hope this helps
whats the thrid splits i can do box splits like when you have leg eiher side and i can do like front splitss one leg infront of the other but ou said 3 splits?
It looks like a good collection, I wasn't going to buy it but now I'm considering it, especially since it comes with those 5 free bands... or is it one now?

You can use Split Specific Warm up before MT.
After the completion do the deep stretches and ELC exercises. This is just one of many ways.

Paul, I am Really impressed with all of your videos..
Question:
I'm pretty flexible already (I'm female doing martial arts for about 7 years)
but when I try to do the center splits, I can't go further due to Pain in my Hip Joints, Not pain from a stretch.
I've always been flexible but with certain stretches I max-out from pain in the joint with no sensation of an actual stretch.
Is there any hope? or am I possibly just not capable physically/genetically?
thanks for all your help!

are there any free videos on how to achieve splits? or does every one wanna make money off of it?
mrxexellent 2 years ago
It's like asking, does any doctor does free surgeries or do they all want to charge for what they do.
Some people see research as their work. The DVD above contains information which was developed through research.
It's not just a couple of stretches. If those couple of stretches were effective, the program above, would not be needed.
I tried to answer your question straight forward.

rain2298, There are weightlifters who are flexible. There are skinny people who are not flexible. If training properly you can have strength and flexibility at the same time.
Elasticsteel 4 years ago
I'm not an expert, but I know from watching baseball on TV, they'll mention some players who used to be bulkier but then dropped some muscle weight, and their flexibility improved.
QueenV9 4 years ago
QueenV9, Being bulky is a relative term. Loosing muscle mass does not automatically garantee flexibility.
