Program Dish Network DVR Remotes that dont work

lol same directions dish network told me lol thx i wasnt fixing my tv though i was fixing my friends lol but i do have dish network it is awesome cuz u can record and go back and you have a lot of memory to record

This worked on my remote. I tried every code I could find, with no luck. I've been a full week with no DVR.

Held SAT button until all mode buttons lit up...pressed 5...then REC. that's all it took.

the receiver might be on single mode.. make sure that you have a green blue and orange light on

i have remotes on different address, but both control tv1. If I program either remote for a different address, it changes the address for remote1 on the sat.

make sure your tv1 remote is green at the bottom and the tv2 iis blue. if both r green then thats your problem. you're using two tv1 remotes.

I just did this 5 seconds ago and it worked perfectly!!! I was unable to get me remote to do anything but turn the TV on and off and now it works on the receiver like it's supposed to! Thanks!

If you need to access the system info screen but your remote won't work, there's a few things you can do depending on receiver. The newer rcvrs have a button ON the receiver labeld "SYSTEM INFO" press that button. If your rcvr is very thin, press the power button and then the up arrow button on the receiver itself. This is the way to get to the system info screen on these receivers. I'm a Dish Network Tech so I see this problem often. Please message with other problems. I want to help!!!

on a 322, no there is no way to turn it off from the receiver itself, on 522/625, you can hit the mode button, it will turn the reciever into single mode (operating tv1, tv2 should be showing the same thing) but then you can just turn the tv off or can change the channel for it to something else.

So i was planning to do this because my second remote isn't responding...but once i get to that screen but i can't figure out how to move the orange icon to the Address' the up/down buttons dont work or anything. >>;

I would imagine you can't move the orange icon because your trying to use your TV2 remote on your TV1 TV. After you address your TV2 remote via this video, Use your TV1 Remote to take control of your orange cursor. This only applies if your using your TV1 tv to address your TV2 remote. Since there shouldn't be a receiver at your TV2 location, your almost always going to be doing this at y our TV1 location. Hope this helped!

you need to explain things better.. If there remote is not working due to remote address they wont be able to change the address untill the remote and reciever both are on the same address.. your just showing ppl how to change the address when everything is working fine.

if u have a dual tuner its better access the other system info screen by pressing menu 2x in stead of going menu 6 : 1 : 3

there is a difference between hitting menu 2x and menu 6-1-3. if you will press menu 2x it will direct you to sytem info screen which tells your model no, r00/s00, sw, bootstrap, primary rem add1 and 2. while MENU 6-1-3 will direct you to system info-1, it shows you some info plus you status/signal, but for rem programming i recommend pressing the sys info on the receiver or pressing the front panel power then up, or pull out your smart card

i know what the difference is w/ the sys info screens and you can change the remote address from both sys info screens its just easier w/ the sys info the you get w/ menu 2x. there are other ways of getting there which u mentioned. sys info on the rcvr will give u the 1 w/ the r00/s00 ect. pressin pwr & then up will do the same and pulling out the card will give u sys info 1. but that all depends on the modle of the rcvr

hey does anyone knows how come that dish installer wouldnt install sec dish for me? im using 625 Dvr model did dishnetwork stop using 61.5 satelite? or are they lazy too install my sec dish, the sec dish is 500 series dual model DPro, please help!thx

i work for tech support for a dish network install company and you must not have been doing this very long you need to simplify the steps and explain were you want the cus to look on the screen explain were the buttons are on the remote but making videos for youtube was a great idea i do thank you for that!!

yeah i am a SBCA certified tech working for sat co for the past 5 years, not very good at making videos but ill try to do this in hi-def with my new hdcamcorder and slow it down to explain myself better. its easy doing the job but explaining it is a little different thanks for the criticizum well taken.

if your remote doesnt work, you wont access sys info from the remote. not all rcvrs have the sys info button. YOU NEED TO TURN OFF YOUR RECEIVER, AND HIT ONCE THE CHANNEL UP BUTTON FROM THE RECEIVER TO ACCESS THE SYS INFO, then you proceed! hope it helps! greetings!
