  • what i wouldn't give to meet a knabstrupper...

i know apollon has passed, but he's just amazing

    *swoon*

  • Same here, but ride one too~

  • If you guys get to Houston, come visit and I'll let you ride one!

  • Yes, the Knabstrupper is a warmblood horse originating from Denmark.

  • hi im unfamillar with this breed i have seen it, but i guess what im asking is the Knabstrupper a warmblood?

  • What of the baroque type, the ones with the old Spanish build and even cart horse feathers to go with? Branderup? Will the ever split the registry? IS the goal if the registry just another WB, but with appy markings? I know the scattered ones I've seen in Germany look like a plow pony to a WB to a spotted PRE. So many types! Colorado Skrodstrup is more the look I see. Power and fire with the unique build, closest to a Fredriksborg, perhaps Kladruper in bodyl? Just another WB would be a shame.

  • Yes, there are currently several "types" of Knabstrupper being bred in Europe. Those in the US tend to be the sporthorse type (yes, almost a WB with color), but they have certainly kept the wonderful Knabstrupper temperament.

  • so beautiful :D
