@CannotGiveaway1 My 3G does the same, but I assume it's because you're forcing the phone to do things it's not built for (Multitasking, etc). Forcing a 3G, with its limited RAM and Processing power, makes the phone really slow.

I figured out how do do it im a boss you have to go to itunes to verify that u r in DFU mode when u r in itunes it should show a loading bar then it will say Itunes has discovred a device in recovery mode then yo just go back to redsn0w and click next untill ur at the part where it says 321 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 ECT DONT DO THAT your device is already in DFU mode and writing will come up if it stops at waiting to reboot take ur device off dfu mode and do the 321 thing look at ur device screenand

Whenever I select and open my firmware (4.2.1), It processes and then tells me it is unable to find specified IPSW. I was already on 4.2.1 prior to this process, I have tried redownloading redsn0w and the firmware multiple times, I have ran as administrator and in compatibility mode and it still doesn't work. Right fixed it if you are having the same problem as what i had it is freezing on the apple logo just open up redsnow and click browse again and load up the firmware and go through the jailbreak stage again and it should come up with a pineapple just let it do its thing and BOOM jailbroken iphone or ipod :D
