I remember watching Jeopardy the most during these years and specifically remember the first time the new theme aired. I hooked up the tape recorder to the TV so I could get a taste of the theme whenever I wanted,,, BUT unless there was spare time during the alotted timespace they wouldn't play the full song. This is by far the best arrangement to date and I gave up looking for it for a long time. I would like to find the original wav or mp3 of this gem. The url above for the source doesn't work

I love this theme song! I even added it to my MP3 player. And I got it from the site that gsn93 listed on this page!  I, however, did this a couple years ago. I just searched for theme songs until I got to the site. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Have been looking for the "End Credits" of this theme for about 10 years. Never thought the second half of the theme was what they played as the End Credits, and I was very pleasantly surprised at 1:25 as I let what I was sure was just the "Opening Theme" play on if only for nostalgia.

The guitar and saxophone solos at the end are beyond fantastic, and I remember them note-for-note even though I hadn't seen/heard the song in almost 10 years. Thanks for letting me remember the credits forever.

all of the themes from 84-01 were way better than the newer 1's. stinks everything sounds like shit these days when it comes to intros to shows, some shows dont even have intros nemore. miss game show themes and themes like Fresh prince, boy meets world, full house, saved by the bell, ect...

Agreed. Its full of frilly acoustic horn accents/pops and has a very watered down, weak Jeopardy theme melody. At least the 97-01version retains a strong melody all the way through until the end where it breaks down into the improvisation with the guitar and saxophone (which are consequently done better than the ones in the current Jeopardy theme).
