Ariel completely missed his chance to stump Dana by stating that Miguel's tweet was a Sunny quote, which doesn't make it any cleaner of a situation, but it certainly absolves him from being guilty of perversion, caprice, or lacking a sense of humour. If they're going to overstep their boundary and monitor the tweets of their athlete's, they should do a better job of investigating the intent after cutting off a man from his livelihood. If the UFC is going to police their fighters, than we can now say that Rashad's comment was FAR worse, because it referenced an actual event where there were real victims! I don't think either should be suspended but obviously we see a huge double standard in the mix.

This was a great interwiev Ariel, it's really a blessing to have such a talented reporter to cover mma.
You might love or hate Danas stance regarding everything that has happened, but you cannot disregard the fact that he is honest and can explain the decisions that he has made, personally I think it is pretty amazing that the president of such a big company as the UFC speaks to everyone in such a way and I hope that we will continue to see that from the UFC.

Dana's made so many excellent decisions over the years. This is the the 1st time that I feel that the scales are slightly tilted into the unreasonable. Mood swings and random outbursts in men is common. All fighters deserve the chance to change or at least self-reflect. This conversation should have been had with Torres to make him understand and maybe even feel bad. I'd have no doubt he'd be a better man for it but he can no longer prove that on the greatest stage.
