I am almost moved to tears by this song. The Comrade there is no going back part is what get's me. The Fallshirmjager mostly didn't support or even like Hitler's racial theries. They knew that they were the elites, and not some serial killer in the SS. They went in first, came out last, and were the best Germany had to offer in the war. I agree with you regarding the German FJ. They were the finest & most honourable German soldiers of WW2. In 1943, Major Walter Koch saved a group of captured British Para's from an Italian firing squad. Koch got wind of the Italians intent to execute the British POWs. He took a Company of fully armed FJ to the Italian camp where th British were being held. He told the Italian cmdr to hand over the British, or his troops would use force to rescue them. The POW's were handed over to Koch. RESPECT!
Agreed. True enemies are ones that respect each other. True Germans always had respect for their enemies. In the seven years war, allied subjects and soldiers(russian, French, Austrian, and Swedes) were treated rather well, with almost no cases of rape, murder, and occupation in villeges only when neccisary and if then would pay for any damage. As far back as then Germans had respect for their enemies. The Brits were honorable as allies then, why should they be any less as enemies now?
Koch's actions in rescuing the British were noble & honourable. I have seen the photos of the rescued British Para's smoking & chatting with the FJ like best mates!The FJ were not Nazis, they were not politically motivated, they were just superb, elite fighting soldiers. The FJ were and ARE highly respected by British soldiers, then & NOW. Their code of Ten Commandants reflects their belief in honourable conduct. The British Para's even today sing the FJ song in German on occasion! RESPECT TO FJ
I know alot of history and i only find some FJ brigades and division honourable, the only realy honourable wehrmacht units were the DAK. Interesting post.

Germany made some truly inspiring music before and during the war. It was great having the words included in this video as well. German has always been one of my favorite languages. A rich and powerful tongue, very well suited to the rich melodies of these 3rd Reich songs.

well, China may be the first empire but well, chinese are so many that we've devided into many groups ending up killing each other.
There are rude chinese and nice ones. but the guys frm China are quite nice although they are commies.
note : in this modern age most chinese in china aren't commies anymore. My relatives left as soon as the laws were not so strict.
