Yeah, I bought a new copy of it. The DVD doesnt really go into much detail from what I can remember. It just shows one of his short films called "The Last Birthday Card" or something like that with commentary. The book itself goes into more detail on the film than the dvd did.
Hey... in his book did you get the DVD? If so, did you get the effects he mentioned that he put on that dvd? On page xxxix the title On the DVD he says he included some "bullet hit elements that you can use in your films, as well as some after.... blah blah blah" did you get any of that stuff?
Yeah, on the DVD under DVD_data > Elements > couchSquibs there's 6 bullet-like squib hits in Quicktime .mov format and isolated on black. I think that's what you're looking for. Could be your DVD is defective? :(
I hope sketchup advances into animation & rigging software. The sketchup interface + additional powerful tools = unlimited possibilities. Yes, sketchup, in a way, incorporates rational tools into 3D. I can't wait to see it advance to it's true potential.

Stu is awesomeness. (and down to earth, too)
His book is by far the best filmmaking book I've ever read. Props to Stu and my fellow Rebels. <3
