  • Wow, it looks so strange that they actually talking after the game lol You don't see that much anymore haha

  • I'd go crazy trying to play with all the talking & coughing.

  • i love chess, but i have one to play with , i tried video games or chess but if i don't have the chessboard and my opponent infront of me i can't play :(

  • what happened to the interview? lol

  • @vyctooorr Because is a Blitz game, they have less time than usual

  • @MrSebasxk Thanks

  • THE SOUND QUALITY..

  • How rich the chess player's are?

  • Anand vs. Magnus would Blitz Chess would be interesting ;). I watched Anand beet Kasparov before^^. And Magnus made a draw when he was just 13.

  • announcer:blah,blah,blah.

ME:DUUUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP WE'RE TRYING TO HEAR THE GAME..LOL

  • @rahjoys no, not anymore Magnus Carlson is now #1 over Kasparov... Magnus is 19, he was an international Master, rated over 2800 at the age of just 13!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @xbox360exclusive my friend not rated 2800 at the age of 13,just 2500 at that age.He is got 2836 live rating right now, second best in chess history.

  • schach-brett.de

  • i just met karpov face to face yesterday in iceland:D

  • @stod9572 go fuck him come on make mat

  • shit camera!

  • was it a draw?

  • @nicoeste8765 A draw is when none of the players can win, it happens very often, for example when there no sufficient material to do a mate. In this case the win point his halved for each player.

  • Thanks for this post! I like this two players.... thanks ligue Corse échecs!

  • If you can't clearly see the action on the board, what's the point of posting this video.

  • kasparov the best

  • The noise is indeed annoying

  • Oscar Panno played with more famous players than Karpov did. He is the true legend.

  • Is the French guy ever shut up?

  • @PartialObserver Zut alors!

  • Karpov and Anand get along well. Not surprising

  • Karpov is facing the WRONG GUY in the WRONG YEAR

  • @YtubeUserr What do you mean? Who do you think he should be facing, and when?

  • @moviecritic6 Karpov 1994 vs. Anand 2011 would have been epic!

  • @YtubeUserr 1973-1987 Karpov ag.2000-2011 Anand would hav e been an epic match

  • karpov is the only player alive that play with = botwinnik ..reshevsky...petrosyan ...taimanov...hort....razuvajev,,,geller...korchnoj...and others ..that I don't remember !!! HE IS AN ALIVE LEGEND !!!

  • karpov ....is a legend !!

    he is the most !!

karpov legacy never will die !!!

  • Give credit to India, the founder of chess

  • i accidentally push dislike

  • @missmjct omg

  • Karpov is a really calm and reserved person.

  • I like King's indian defense. B'cause I am indian. right Karpov is a very good positional player

  • @piyushplayschess but the defence has nothing to do with the country INDIA.The indians did not create the move.but yea chess was invented by india

  • @piyushplayschess Karpov's main strength is when it comes to the end of the game, I've seen him calculating very long lines of 30/40/50 moves with only one rook and just 2/3 pawns and saying "I'll promote this pawn in 25 moves". Because of that he developped a very powerfull and calibrated middlegame to make sure that even a quarter of a pawn advantage in the middle leads for the win at the end.

  • Karpov is my favorite! He really is a positional chess genius!

  • i wonder if they are actually friends, off the board i mean:P.Anyway i respect them both.Great players is little said.

  • Yes, they sure are. I don't see them sweating, out of breath, or having excessive physical activity?

  • @amriteighteen inform yourself mate , the hartbeat of a chess player can be 160/180 in a very intense situation (close to win , time hurry, etc). It's very comparable to an intense physical activity and that's why all professionnal chess players do sports as part of their training.

  • @AmarrStriker

    I agree. :)

  • Two of my favorite sportsmen.

  • @TexasRobert

Yes, they sure are sportsmen. Their sweating their asses off, and are really tired. So much physical activity going on.

  • @amriteighteen Your last comment proves you have not competed much at chess. Even short games can be absolutely as tense and grueling as other competive games, especially if someone has to move when they have used up most of their time.

  • @TexasRobert hes talking about physical activity not nervous sweating and heaving

  • @TexasRobert I like chess alot. I was on the chess team in highschool. Professional chess players have all my respect. But I am sorry to have break the news to you: chess is not a sport.

  • @warblerab It is a sport, starcraft, video games, chess, your using skill to beat others

  • I thought Karpov was already dead. Glad to see him there! :D stop been so grumpy Karpov!

  • Why don't the commenter shut up ? He must only watch the masters playing instead,

  • What time control was being used for this match?

  • what is karpov elo rating at that time?

  • @dobsondale 1) Anand is not Paki...

    2) Anand has a winning record vs. Karpov...

    3) Stop being racist.

  • @dobsondale curry=paki , pasta=euros lol That ugly old pig karpov lost. now fuck off u white pig.

  • Karpov makes a move during anand's move (when anand is castling)

Isn't it illegal to start making a move when it is not your clock to move?

  • @QuakePhil if you are karpov...everything is legal:D

  • that music is the most horrible i've heard

  • lol.... how appropriate is it that karpov was wearing a checked tie =P

  • You have to remember how great Karpov was. I love watching him now because the pressure is off! He can get in there with Vischy or Kramanik and smash them sometimes.

  • Karpov's one of my favorites. Thanks for posting!

  • Hi everyone. I found this tornament really intresting. if i remember correctly, karpov finnished 3rd amongst the grattest G.M's of the mddern age. As he rightly said, he dosnt keep up with modern theroy, but to perfom so well against them shows what an incredable player he is. I just wanted to make a point of this becouse i noticed after the karpov - kasparov match Spain, meany had written karpov off as past it and trying to hang on to the glory days. Karpov is a true tiger.

  • annoying sound wtf
