@TheAAStudiosX A Torizo, or Chozo, is a bird-like creature in the Metroid series - in the first game they are petrified helpers who give the character special abilities, but in this game some of them go crazy and attack you instead, although there are certainly those who still help you.

@brettg6 yeah super metroid copied metroid prime. super metroid was way better though, metroid wasn not meant to be a 1st person shooter, side scrolling is where it is best.

@ihatebobsaget1989 how did super metroid that existed 8 years before metroid prime, copy metroid prime? Don't you mean the opposite. Many people like that metroid turned into an fps I didn't get too far into the prime games but I've beaten all the 2-d side scrollers, though retro studios did revive the franchise on a console. Other M asthetically is the Metroid game I've been waiting almost 10 years for in gameplay but story wise it follows the manga.

HELP! I am playing Super Metroid for the first time on my Wii Console. I cannot figure out how to fly out of room where I picked up the screw attack. I know how to use the space jump to get a "little" high, but what buttons do you use to get as high as you do in this video? I also don't know how to go the opposite direction..HELP. Thanks.

on that first acid-filled area, you can space jump all the way through without damage, if you don't, you risk falling.
