  • This was from her "Special Bardot" which aired on French TV on Dec. 31, 1967 (after their SECAM color system was introduced), and in the U.S. on NBC on Dec. 3, 1968 (right after Elvis Presley's well-received and very highly-rated "comeback" special). While Bardot's ratings did not approach "the King's," she still slaughtered the competition (including Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black on CBS) and helped NBC win the ratings race that night.
